Self reliant jungling

Looking for some tips from those with great success or more experience, I know jungling is very volatile right now but I am struggling to get some control over it. Some of the champs I have been using just sputter out even if I am successful at dragon control.

I am trying to figure out maybe more play styles, not just the champions, to try and get more control of my games. Had a recent match where each of my lanes died 5 times before 7 minutes, and I wasn’t knowledgeable enough to know how to turn it around. Some of these games I am even playing what is considered meta, but just can’t compete with the stronger mid or top lane carries.

My point, is there has to be certain champs that are either really forgiving when behind in the jungle or can just carry if they farm. I know people get mad at power farming but I have just had too many games where too many people die before I can even get strong enough to help them.

TL;DR - I find most meta junglers are feast or famine now. Are there power farmers or always relevant junglers that still exist?

Edit: Thanks for the responses all.

I mean, if all 3 lanes hard lose like that there really isn't much you can do except pray the enemy team throws to let yall back in it, doesn't matter if you as Jg are ahead if the rest of your team is that far behind unfortunately. I've been playing mostly Yi and Jax in the jungle, very efficient farmers who make good use of power farming, but even if i get fed I'm still likely to be 1 level below solo laners, more if they got fed.

In that situation where all 3 lanes lose (even if they don't lose as hard as in your example) the main move is to keep farming up (go for the safe gold) hope your lanes don't just give up and start running it down, and maybe the enemy team will throw you/your laners some nice shutdowns to get back in it, but most times this doesn't happen and you just slowly get snowballed on and lose.

I dont jungle but I have been playing my Top/Mid pick Mordekaiser and have been doing well in all my autofilled jungle games.

I dont look to gank unless the laner is pushing and my laner is competent to follow.

Other wise I Ward (River, Pits, enemy jungle or mine if Im getting counter jungled) I ping anything I see.
I help my laners take turrets or hold turrets if its not letting them take something else.

If one of my laners is doing good I help that lane a lot.

go to u.gg and look up top 20 junglers. pick a few to master, then watch pro replays on youtube to learn ideal pathing in soloQ for each jungler. It varies. Some junglers want to full clear and back, some want to hit fast level 3 and gank or invade. Learn when to invade and gank (or coutner gank) based on lane priority and dueling capability/2v2/3v3 ability of your jungler. All of these things can be learned from youtube. A few hours of study and you will improve like 2 divisions at least.

So there are basically two schools of jungle players at the moment.. you have the champs that can start ganking early, and once they have a lead just punish the other team.. these are champs like Yi, shaco...you will see these be the favored junglers from bronze through low gold..

then there is dragon and map control jungle..that become much more relevent the higher elo you get to..I think this is what your asking about.

champs like Shyvana, Udyr, amumu, dr.mundo, champs that can clear camps quickly and kill dragon solo at level 4 as soon as it pops..

I personally am a shyvana lover at the moment, my win rate with her due to being able to secure almost every dragon is very high. 70%+
