A good score for a support

Good evening everyone! I hope all is well or at least getting better.

I was playing in my last match and got a B with 1/3/11. I healed for a little over 8k. As a support main what is considering doing well in a match?

Towards the end of the most recent match I asked how I was doing and my team told me I actually wasn't that bad despite being so relatively new to the game. Which is awesome and a huge boost to wanting to continue to get better. At what point though is a support going to be an asset to a team and not so much a liability? Is a B a good (or at least passable) performance for a support or is there a lot of room to grow?

Your KDA is irrelevant, although most don't seem to understand this. A good support doesn't feed, peels for his team, tries to feed or protect his ADC in lane, provides vision in key areas during the entire match and provides support through items and abilities. You want good map awareness so you can always be where you're needed in a pinch and try to avoid face checking to ward.

it varies depending on the game. kda dont always tell the story of the game

however in my last 3 games as sona

i went 4-3-13 with 162 cs and 41% participation in kills placed 19 wards killed 8 and had 2 vision wards

other game 11-8-18 with 111cs 71 % participation in kills 24 wards placed killed 3 wards

and other game 6-6-13 with 40 cs 49% participation in kills 22 wards placed

try not to base how well you did on the grade you get at the end of a game. It's based purely on stats, and not actually on how much of an asset you were to your team.

Some pointers for support: place more wards. You bought item 2301 but only placed about 2-4 wards in the game. Because you have a warding item, you should replace your item 3361 with item 3341 item 3364 , which lets you destroy enemy wards and deny enemy vision. Vision control is a big aspect of playing support, and you should prioritize buying item 2049 . Start bringing summoner 3 instead of summoner 12 . It's a better spell to bring almost every time.

So many have told me to just stay in bot lane and turtle with tower. So I **should **be moving around the lanes?

I think mastery score scaling goes from D (worst) to S+ (best) so a B is average.

If you get a B then there is a lot of room to grow. But you didn't do bad.
