Learning new roles

Good Day everyone! I hope all is well or getting better! Anyway onto my post!

I play mostly alone and as support (Sona, Nami and Tahm) but I want to learn other roles, but I am afraid to do it with how this community can be at times to new people. Any tips on learning the other roles without having people freak out on you?
