Anyone else sick of these items/runes that stack burst on one autoattack?

Originally we only had Trinity Force. Then they added Duskblade. Then they added Dark Harvest. Then they added Stormrazor.

It's honestly too much. I don't necessarily mind champs having access to item sources of burst. You could argue that it's a good thing to have the option to invest towards burst.

The problem is you can invest into easy burst on a point and click autoattack. It gets ridiculous and toxic when you put it on a champion with high target access.

I'm not even saying the abusers are necessarily OP. I'm saying it's making the game suck because it's devolving back to how the game was when every champ just point and click bursted each other, except now if you decide to play a champ that has lots of counterplay built into their kit, and no synergy with cheese items, you have to go against cheesy point and click burst every game without having it yourself, and that is frustrating. At the end of the day we play games for fun so I don't care what the stats say about balance here.

This is also why everyone hated the ADC meta of season 7 so much. ADCs rushed Shiv/IE which gave them point and click burst.

As far as I'm concerned, all the progress on counterplay Riot has achieved over the past 8 seasons has been overshadowed by the unrelenting prevalence of unconditional point and click burst that is never fully addressed, and often is re-introduced in a new form.

I think the problem in every case is how unconditional it is. The requirement to get the damage is simply, autoattack a target, or press some low cooldown targeted ability. Stuff like Garen ult or Darius ult isn't that bad. I know a lot of you guys hate them but at least they have to work for it to a certain extent because it's an execute. You first have to do your combo, so the difficulty or counterplay of those ults depends on the champ's whole kit. You could easily adjust Darius to need another bleed stack or nerf his E and you make him easier to play against. On the other hand, how can you add counterplay to Quinn, Wukong, or Nocturne? They don't have to do a combo before they get their burst. They just have to get in range to autoattack you. So the only way to add counterplay to those champs given the current items and runes they have access to, is actually gut their target access but I don't think anyone wants that to happen.

So anyway that's my rant. I guess I see this as an old problem that hasn't ever been resolved and just keeps rearing its ugly head in new ways every season.

But aren't all of these made for different classifications of champions, and thus completely uncomparable?

I mean the answer to your question is another question. Should everyone have easy access to reliable high damage burst? The answer is they really shouldn't.

Whatever they were intended for doesn't stop players from choosing to stack them together.

then you have to ask the question of:

Who is stacking them?

Some champs stack 2 or 3 of those things. Also I didn't mention Tiamat because technically it doesn't add damage directly to your autoattack but it's still pretty braindead easy to add it on top of whichever other of these burst sources your champ works with.

Realistically you'll see several sources being stacked. Not necessarily all of them. That doesn't mean it isn't a problem.

The point is I'm tired of all this unconditional point and click burst that constantly dominates solo queue every season, and I think I made my point pretty well tbh.

Tbh,people complain so much in s7 riot became so annoyed and they showed us their wrath and obliterated the runes and masteries.. then they began to show favoritism b/c they felt sorry for adc mains, then they favored assasin mains by giving them more and more power.. for once stop complaining and maybe the balance team will do its job properly
