Itemization

In season six I took a half year break from the game and the only things that really made me want to come back were Synapse and Voyboy. Specifically, the silly builds that did one thing really well - AP volibear and the like. To come back to the same stagnant item builds being top tier, disheartens me. There are a lot of different ways where itemization can be impactful im a game but each champion has one item build that they heavily prefer, because it gives them the most efficient allocation of stats and actives. This is only natural as champions always want the most efficient items, but I believe that items should have more variety - buff utility type/ counter items. However Riot's design philosophy going into preseason seems to be - the players should experiment with new build and champions. Seems like another meta where we see the same builds regardless is match up, play style, and gold lead, and anything else is somebody trolling.

TL;DR: Six wits ends < One wits end

Honestly look up the bottom 30 items and think about the last time you saw them in a match.

30 is quite alot.

If we talking about 5, I've never seen ohmwrecker in my last 3000 games.

Utility is useless in solo, OP in pro. It wouldnt make sense to make it an entire themed line outside of support.

The utility items we do have also provide damage as a result; rylais, cleaver etc.
