I dont understand why even bother giving Azir a shield. I love him and his playstyle but 80-240 dmg shield ?
Azir has to throw himself at an enemy to get this puny shield that blocks 1 auto attack basically. That makes no sense to me, why would I even bother using it, shield is weak.
I would love to hear opinions from people who play him way more than I do.

The shield used to be with the knock-up on E. Which allowed for this hyper aggressive play style. Then they nerfed Azir and now the shield is just leftovers. Basically, it's there because Riot guttered everything else and just went, 'Don't worry guys, you still got a shield'.

The shield used to be stronger. Thats why.
Maybe that 1 blocked AA is the difference between life and death.
It use to be a knock up.
Then it became a shield.
Then it became a shite shield.
That's most likely one of the first things they are going to remove in his update. It's very out of place in his kit.
