Neeko...yeesh.
i had never played against a Neeko before and just played a game in gold 2 as Renekton against a Neeko toplane that absolutely destroyed me. I had no idea what I was getting into that game...
340 movespeed on a ranged champion with 550 range and non-ult abilities that do a ton of damage and don't care at all about minions. When she takes Glacial Augment, how does a melee even reach her? Throw in a jungle Lee that literally sits top lane and waits for me to get low so he can towerdive and the lane justbecomes unplayable without a rune page specifically tailored to getting destroyed in lane like that. What even was that game I just played lol.
Despite being as fed as she was she didn't accomplish much at all lategame besides threatening to instagib our Jinx if she landed absolutely everything on her. She didn't seem as useful as Teemo past laning phase despite having a similar (if not better...?) early game. We wound up winning anyway, because despite being 10 kills down from her I could just sit on her like she were any other squishy and combo her to near-death as my teammates finished her off.
No wonder no one plays her but no wonder smurfs like him try to use her...yeesh. I don't even remember Nidalee ever being that oppressive.
in lane. I'm not sure it's entirely awful for the lane's overall health, since he's been a bully with almost no pure counters up there for many seasons now, but it is a thing.
as a positional bully in
instead. Pre-6 you'll probably have to cede lane priority, but as soon as you have even 1-2 Feast stacks and any progress towards a major tank item, you can simply ignore her autos and sustain both health and mana off your waves to the point where she has to cede position to you all game after that. He's my go-to ban when playing her.
is another good option, who can repeatedly hookshot onto her and tank her snare out with a shield and then stay stuck to her in ways the crocodile can't, such as using her own ult's jump to dodge
