Why no Total Self Damage Shielded?

I'll tell you why.

Cause it would show just how much damage 1/2 of passive mitigates! Specially when compared to other Shielding Passives that are their only passives not just half..... like .

I think self damage blocked via shield also adds to the damage mitigated portion (along with damage reduced by resistances) I could be wrong though.
