Un-ban Nubrac, Punish/Ban NB3, and discipline the Riot employee that did this Riot.

Nubrac plays support.

NB3 Flames Nubrac.

Nubrac gets banned from a Riot friend of NB3.

  1. Show me in the Rules where the "Support" MUST go bot lane? There is no such rule. If there was such a rule then you (RIOT) must BAN every single "support" that DARES to leave bot lane even for a second! "Support" is a ROLE, where the player SUPPORTS their team. I went back and watch alot of his streams and videos and he SUPPORTS no matter WHERE he is. Hes not Griefing, hes not trolling, he is SUPPORTING his team.

  2. Time to start ACTUALLY punish streamers that are TOXIC. They are not just toxic on stream, they PHYSICALLY type things in and constantly call team mates "trash" "r%%%%%ed" "mental" ect. ect. ect, they will go AFK if they do not get their way, and they will grief/troll/throw games INTENTIONALLY if some one upsets them. Which is against ToS, TIME to start dong something RIOT!

  3. Its time TOXIC streamers get punished to make way for actual respectable players, Riste (https://www.twitch.tv/riste) is a good example of who you (Riot) should be getting behind and supporting. His behavior in game whether it be win/lose or if he has trolling/griefing teammates is always positive and respectful.

False dichotomy, and a piss poor argument. There's a difference between roaming, and not playing in your lane.

Time to start ACTUALLY punish streamers that are TOXIC

They already do, if those players get reported. If the players in those games have an issue, they are free to report whomever they want. How about you stop worrying about other people's games?

  1. In the lobby when it shows the map, they put the support icon in the bot lane.

  2. Streamers do get punished and chat restricted. Happens all the time.

  3. People watch what they want to watch. If your super respectable streamer was entertaining, they'd get views but they're just boring af. Imaqtpie isn't toxic, but still gets some of the highest numbers on Twitch. If people want to be toxic on their channel, don't watch it if it's not for you.

wtf is this getting down voted so much? Do people on the boards really support toxic streamers this much? This is a case where a person got banned for an off meta pick because of backroom dealings, not a good look for riot.

Ban them both, and call it a day. If Nubrac didn't communicate with his team, and the laner didn't want him there, that's griefing.

Here is a Rioter (WookieeCookie) response related to Nubrac's ban (the one Imperial Pandaa was talking about)

Riot will not ban a player for off meta-play; full stop. If you're curious on our thoughts about off meta play you can hear it straight from Meddler here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMAAfm095tg

This player in particular popped up on our radar a few weeks ago and we decided to not take action at that time because playing Teemo in this method is not against our rules.

However, after reviewing the continued reports we were receiving (from multiple sources) a pattern was forming where this targeted off meta behavior was occurring most often in games when the player was with a high profile streamer. If you want to play off meta, we think that's great! If you want to play off meta only to spite other players and reap the negative reactions and attention from their viewers while they are streaming then we don’t consider that a good faith use of off meta play.

Reporting players for trolling is not something only streamers have the power to do. I always encourage people to report through the client (obviously). But if you encounter a player that you think is behaving in a way to get around our systems then anyone can send us a ticket directly and we will investigate that situation. We won't take action if we can't determine a pattern of trolling or if we believe the player is making a good faith effort with their off meta play. But if we do see someone is consistently using off meta play as an excuse to troll people then we will intervene when we can.

So it looks like more went into this decision than this one game or this one report.

I agree with the first two;

Punish Nightblue, unban the support.

I dont agree with punishing the rioter, i agree with punishing the company. The rioter is just a person following company policy for the most part, riot as a whole ,as well as the entire gaming industry and those beyond gaming, need to learn fast and hard that consumers have rights, and unjust and unlawful bans are anti consumer. You cannot take in money, then revoke what was paid for, without due process. Due process being LEGAL process, not "im a company and ehhhhh i say so".

I find all bans anti consumer, but generally lack sympathy for those banned as theyre typically assholes who do deserve punishment. But this? This guy did 0 wrong. His team flamed him and afkd. He played his role flawlessly as a support, even if doing so unconventionally. Banning ANYONE falsely is unacceptable, and this is an industry wide issue.

You honestly expect riot to punish anyone that makes them money ?
