Why the Nerf to My Little Pony!

Why was Hecarim ability to move through units removed while this Fizz bastard keeps his? It was part of Hecarims Identity.

They got tired of Hecarim top lane.

Their excuse was cause of minion block, which is their own fault any way they are the ones that messed with it and fucked it up. and when they fix it here shortly they wont revert this nerf on hec.

Are you serious? A nerf caused by their own mistake in programming is the reason for this nerf? While I don't mean to insult but if that is the reason for the nerf then it's a really bad one.

No more free hits just because your opponent’s struggling through a blockade of enemy minions, buddy

I saw that in the patch notes, and now im actually annoyed. The only reason is because he can hit minions while the other laner cannot? Well with that logic you might as well remove the ability on Fizz and Kassadin as well since they have that same luxury. In all honesty if that is the only reason for this nerf then I hope it is temporary, otherwise this is a horrible nerf to make(I will not argue on how the health nerf adds insult to injury with all the other minor nerfs in his past).

Hecarim is a tanky bruiser with decent early game. Fizz and Kassadin are both assassins with pisspoor early game.

This is apples to oranges.

I see reason now in why hec was nerfed while kass and fizz kept theirs but still, nerfing him just because of riot's own pathing problems? In this case I hope this is a temporariy nerf or this could be a damaging nerf to him for little to no reason(again, reason for the nerf is so hec would now have to deal with the horrible minion block like everyone else does right now, also feel this is meant to take him out of top lane).

They are also reverting/have reverted the minion block changes in patch 5.4 The change wasn't just because minions wee fatter for a few patches.

Hecarim’s engagement pattern is consistently oppressive, and preseason’s only amplified the terror he brings to any 1v1 encounter. We’re emphasizing the value in striking back against him (especially when Spirit of Dread is down), and forcing him to play the same unit collision game as everyone else. No more free hits just because your opponent’s struggling through a blockade of enemy minions, buddy

Full Quote from the patch notes. While it isn't explicitly stated, Hecarim's is being removed because it makes it hard to play against him in lane. Fizz isn't exactly lane dominant, so the argument doesn't apply to him.

That being said, I would imagine that they would remove his passive next time he becomes a balance issue.

WTF? as soon as fizz hits 3 he dominates his lane, against ANY ONE. lol

In all honesty is he really that oppressive in a 1v1? I mean, top laners like Tryndamere and Darius have advantage over him both in terms of lifesteal and DoT(damage over time)(Also Jayce can burst him down from afar if he is caught). The only way I can see him as oppressive was if he started to snowball and gank other squishy lanes, but not only is that what he is about, but a snowball in general means the same kind of oppressiveness for some, if not most of the champions here.

Hec can never be in a balanced state, he's one of Riot's outlaws and won't be left alone until they rework him fully. With the direction this game keeps on going expect other champions to get nerfed for a while then changed fully. Poppy just got hers there's another 30+ champions to go.
