Things that need to GTFO of League.

GET RID OF:

  • RNG Runes
  • Overpowered Runes
  • Changing Summoner Spells in-game.
  • 1 hitting towers
  • Last hitting buff. (Riot's attempt to make less skilled players better at last hitting minions)
  • Casual gameplay mechanics (i.e. RNG Plant System. Zoe's multiple flash/RNG bs)
  • Catering toward casual players.

I've played League almost every single day since mid season 3 all the way up to the end of Season 7. I have well over 4500+ hours played on League of Legends. However, I have found myself not playing League for 10 consecutive days... This is the longest time I've been without playing League. This should tell you something.

League is supposed to be a competitive game. However, Riot has turned League into a casual swamp fest. You see people one hitting towers and taking them down. There's no strategy behind that. Players don't have to worry about last hitting due to the unnecessary buff to last hitting minions. (Players had to practice days/weeks/years to get better at last hitting. But now, low skilled players don't need to practice because they can last hit easier). There are many random elements that have been poured into the game it's not even funny.

This entire preseason 8's "Runes Reforged" was an attempt to get new/less skilled players into the game. The veterans that worked their way up by improving their skill has been swept aside. LOL is not competitive anymore, folks. That's the truth and I'm extremely disappointed with Riot.

So, if they fix the issues by removing RNG elements on the Runes. And, if they reduce the overpowered runes. I'll be happy enough to get back into League. However, with all the balancing issues I've seen throughout the years playing League, I'm sure Riot won't do anything significant enough to balance the newly implemented runes...

I hope Riot proves me wrong because League has been my favorite game for a long damn time. I want to play league, but it's horrible at this current state.

RNG Runes-This Overpowered Runes-Which ones? Changing Summoner Spells in-game-I don't see a purpose for it so sure. 1 hitting towers-This Last hitting buff. (Riot's attempt to make less skilled players better at last hitting minions)-Nothing wrong with that. Casual gameplay mechanics (i.e. RNG Plant System. Zoe's multiple flash/RNG bs)-IDK about her yet. Catering toward casual players-uh.... what?

  • Catering toward casual players.

You should try Battlerite, mate. Close to perfect balance, high skill floor, higher skill ceiling, and seems like they still don't give a crap about the "this game is too hard" posts. Just pack some lube and patience for your first days there ;-)

If you dont cater to casual players there will never be a player base. we have lives outside of the game too.

There has always been a player base... League of Legends has become huge because of its competitive atmosphere. Players from all skill level play the game. E-sports has made League of Legends population sky rocket in the past 7 years. Players can play the game casually. Millions of players play League.

A competitive game can be played casually... However, a casual game doesn't function well as a competitive game due to balance issues and having no skill-gap. (Low skilled players can equally compete against higher skilled players. Better players cannot outplay less skilled players because there's no skill-gap) With the introduction of "Runes Reforged" and random elements, League of Legends has turned completely into a casual game.
