I'm looking forward to Kindred

While I think jungling with an ADC is a risky thing (I've tried it before with Jinx and MF) and I'm concerned about his ability to get gold to do his job, I think that this is an interesting champ.

Things I'm looking forward to:

  • He's a squishy carry jungler so you can't always pick him, but when you do hopefully he'll be able to win you the game. Might be a good idea if your ADC might not be up to par, you are an ADC forced to jungle, or you've got Morde bot. Either way, a champ designed to buck the meta seems cool.
  • You know he's getting devourer. He'll probably be more of a late game champ because of this. With his E, I expect him to get bork as well, but that's going to limit his damage compared to a normal ADC.
  • That ult, that lovely ult. I was complaining about Fiora not being a top tier jungler with that ult... this makes up for that.
  • Even if he doesn't jungle, I could see him as an interesting ADC (if not running a protect the ADC comp) or maybe AD mid. With the utility his ult brings I can really see him being picked up mid in the LCS if the enemy is playing an all in comp and Azir is banned.
  • He's going to be a monster in ARAM even if the heal on his ult is limited.
  • I'd love to see him and soraka on a team together. Maybe with a fiora top. An our 3 ults just nullified your 5 ults comp would be funny.

Things I'm worried about

  • Getting invaded. You kind of need to start E to protect yourself, but his kit looks like he wants to start Q/W for clearing.
  • If he gets shut down early, he brings almost nothing to the team outside of his ult.
  • Squishy jungler - can't always pick him
  • Limited CC - most people won't like this out of a jungler
  • Probably can't afford IE in the jungle. This is going to be my biggest issue as he's either going to have to snowball in order to do his job or he's going to fall behind.

I'm so hyped about them. And it's pretty much confirmed as a jungler, as their passive is a lot stronger in the jungle than in the lane.

I partly agree that this is a good passive for a jungler, but I can see it working mid as well if you are able to roam. His passive may dissuade a mid/jungler ganking bot unless it's extra safe as the passive would turn a failed gank into an issue for the other team.

So I think he can work out of the jungle in the right comp and as an ADC against a burst/dive comp or in an assassin heavy meta.
