Mana vs Resourceless champions

I've always enjoyed top lane and mid lanes but I feel as if a resourceless champions like yasuo, garen, or katarina always have the advantage cause they can out sustain anyone. This is mostly because I just got smacked down by a Yasuo top lane while i was playing Sion, a less mobile and mana using champion. I could never land a Q He'd always have his skills and can spam them while I'm stuck conserving mana.

In my opinion Riot should get rid of cool down-only reliant champions and give them a energy system such as alkali shen and zed, that way they can still have good sustain but not be able to freely spam all their abilities and only building cool down reduction to become unbeatable in lane.

Technically speaking, that's the entire point of Garen in the first place. Not even kidding, if he was (for example) reliant on mana, his passive would've probably worked on mana too.

Furthermore, Yasuo top lane is a dead Yasuo the moment he overextends, and due to the nature of his Q, this is generally is all the time. I'm willing to bet that the only reason why you didn't do so well against Yasuo is that your Jungler never helped you ever.

Partially true my jungle never did bank but Yasuo also just outmanoeuvres most top lanes or sion at least

Yas counters sion pretty hard. He e's out every time u use ur q.

The point of mana or even energy is to gate champs who would otherwise spam their abilities so much more.
