Why is AD Thresh still a thing?

I understand the logic behind giving him a ratio on his Flay (W) Passive that scales up to 200% of his TOTAL AD. He generally isn't building AD as a support and this does give him a unique way of dealing damage while engaging with burst, and utilizes his base, and maybe a little extra AD.

But when he is building AD, .. it's so broken!

Why not just change it to scales the same but with BASE AD and maybe add a smaller ratio for BONUS AD?

I don't even want it to kill the ability to build him AD, but the way it works now is just too much.

this is no where near of an issue as it use to be when thresh was 1st released and crit thresh was a real issue.

it got nerfed then. and i cant remember the last time i saw it. its been at least 3 seasons i would guess.

there are other more pressing issues regarding balance in the game besides thresh going ad

I don't think one doubled autoattack every several seconds is anything to worry about. Every time I see an AD Thresh on my team I just pray that he doesn't feed too hard. But he usually does.
