You get to free farm without worry all game long
You get to have an easy time during team fights as others are fed and take focus away from you
You get your pick of objectives all game long

Is the rest of your team losing?

Enjoy constant ganks bot as your teammates walk back from fountain
Enjoy your team scrambling to utilize their superior mobility to run away during team fights, often exposing you to the enemy
Enjoy the enemy adc calmly farming one corner of the map while your team loses 4v5 and you, underfed from all the abuse, can do nothing about it.

Please keep your hands inside of the vehicle at all times and remember matchmaking is doing it's job keeping your winrate at 50 percent.

How the game feels as a top-laner:

Is the rest of your team winning?

You live in an island.
Your team fights 4vs4/5, you are not there, no one cares.
You group with your team. You have a team fight. You just exist since the rest of your team will run down the enemy.
You will keep living in an island. At times someone will come to take every cs in your lane.

Is the rest of your team losing?

You live in an island.
Your team gets caught or tries to fight. They all die. They immediately start pinging your TP which in ready. No one cares that they lost in 2 seconds or that there are no wards for you to TP.
You group with your team. You get 3-shot. You just existed for a couple of seconds. The enemy team runs down every one.
You can no longer go to your island. Your team will instant clear every cs that exists.

Bonus: You are winning: No one cares. You are losing: No one cares unless the enemy top-laner groups with his team or goes to another lane.

Depends on your champion pool. A lot of matchups are very volatile and a single mistake can snowball the lane irrecoverably.

Of course. Gangplank in particular has a pretty stable laning phase, able to farm and scale in most lanes.

I think Jax is the champion that best encapsulates my point of the ones you seem to play. Certainly you've had the experience of dying on jax and being forced out of the game by a powerful laner like darius, right?

Ok srsly why did I get downvoted? Zhonias just prolongs your death moment And I wasn't talking about Ryze but mages in general. Ryze is one of the few mages that can make a comeback because of his lategame.

Because you're one of the anti-assassins circlejerker. Also your main is basically a big "fuck you" to most of the assassins, so i don't know why you're complaining about them

Also, shouldn't assassins be favored in match ups vs mages?

I'm complaining cause I like to play other mages too, but I can't really because if I try to I get killed in 2 seconds by a Talon just with W Q. Assasins should be indeed favoured against mages, but at least give mages some actual counterplay against them. Imo Katarina and the new Akali are the most fair to play against assasins (I would also include Ekko but his ult annoys me to death). And an assasin should be able to kill a mage quick yes, but not in half a second and still missing half of the abilities. Also revert the iginte buffs pls those were just bull sh** now it takes 1/4 of your HP at lvl 1.

Talon early is too strong for now, i can agree with that. What do we mean by counterplay here? Most of the assassins got counterplay now. If you're playing against Zed, your counterplay is to dodge shurikens and stay away from w range, which isn't that high really. Against Rengar? Stay grouped, flash/zhonya when he jumps on you, try to interrupt his jump (this one is very hard, but possible). Against Shaco? Deep wards, red trinket, tabis. I never have seen a Shaco who managed to one-shot someone who had tabis.

Assassins aren't the problem. The problem are guys who aren't assassins but they still try to be them. Like Wukong, Quinn, or Lethality j4.

And instead of nerfing ignite, buff heal, barrier, ghost and exhaust, TP is still dominating pro play, and making other options weaker won't fix that

Zed used to have counterplay. But now he can just go all in me, miss all his shurikens and I still die cause electrocute ignite and duskblade. And even if I survive I would be forced to back and miss minion waves thus giving him an advantage.

If there's a moment in game in which Zed have duskblade, and you don't have tabis, then it's your fault. And if you have tabis, there's no way Zed can kill you with r+e+duskblade aa+aa+ignite. Unless you're like, 2 lvls down.

Technically, IIRW the champions are not representatives, the Summoners were. This is why Darius could basically fight alongside Sivir for Demacia's glory. It was the Summoner who was assigned to specifically represent one side's interest.

What about the, largely occurring, times where the rest of your team is doing just fine (0/0/0, same cs), but botlane is 0/20/0 or 20/0/20 without any jungler influence?
