Too many defensive options against ap?!?!

I'm so tired of faceing quinn pantheon khazix every adc in the game as a ap assassin or ap mage. Why is ad itemization so much better? Why does every ad laner thats not a tank have to have edge of night a defensive item with amazing stats in their core build? Why are ads allowed to get a hexdrinker if they feel like it and build merc treds if that still doesn't make the cut. How am i suppose to kill anyone as fizz when they have a maw edge of night and merc treads while still haveing around the same damage output as my lichbane zhonyas dcap void :( It feels SO bad to face an ad as a mid. Adcs can even mispositon for up to 5 seconds with edge of night now...Ad itemization is just so good and has SO many defensive build options when ap has zhonyas or abysall meanwhile ad has edge of night maw qss merc treds etc etc...
