Difference in LP gains / losses?

So I'm just wondering if anyone knows what's up about this:

I'm gaining around 25-27 lp per win and losing around 14-17 per loss, but my duo partner is gaining about 16 and losing about 16. We are the same rank and almost the same LP, what's the difference?

You have different MMR even if you're the same rank. LP gains/losses change to try and get your hidden MMR and visible rank as close to matching as possible.
