The thing I fear the most

So I picked up Ivern, and I absolutely love his game play. Very unique, not exactly focused on kills but you offer so much to your team its great

HOWEVER

I know he's doing quite well winrate wise, and it worries me so. Usually when a unique champion begins to shine Riot guts them and leaves them in the trash can. I do love Riots creativity nowadays but can anyone assure me that Ivern won't end up chopped in the lumber pile? Fact of the matter is, my trust in Riot is failing and they have been disappointing me more often then not lately.
