The game has become a team deathmatch.

There really needs to be a tuning down of both the speed and tempo of the game as well as the power creep imposed by runes, items, etc on champions. Currently, games are too snowbally and usually leads to wins/losses where one team is vastly ahead of the other team and the stompage is just surreal with how big the kill differential is.

If you look at your 2017 Year in Review, you can compare some 'stomp' games you've had playing ranked with the games you're currently playing now. What I've noticed from my games is that in S7, games would typically end somewhere between 28 - 32 minutes depending if one side surrenders or not and both teams would take smart fights/trades which kept games going on for longer. Typically there was less bloodshed involved too where the kill differential didn't exceed 15.

Looking at my current games, I'm seeing anywhere from 20 - 30 kills difference in a much smaller time frame about 22 - 28minutes and players are throwing in the towel at a much earlier time than before. Even my damn Poro king games end in 9 - 14 minutes.

I'm hoping something will be done about this but... well, we'll see.

Kinda feels like objectives used to be a calculated risk you very deliberately took to expand/achieve a lead and now they're just another resource you mow down after wiping out all opposition.

Riot doesn't give a shit. As long as ADCs dominate they are content.

I just want the way the early, mid and late game work to be reversed. Currently the early game is too short most of the time because once a lane gets snowballed it goes out of control and speeds the pace of the game up so that you hit mid game early but one team is at a noticeable disadvantage. So mid game and late game are now very likely to go to the team that got ahead early but since it still takes time to actually close the game out you have these long mid and late games that don't actually change anything.

This is not to say games aren't won after a bad early, it's just less likely now. I want early and mid game to be the longest phases of the game and the late game to be quick and decisive rather than drawn out.

100% it's not as fun as it used to be.

I definitely agree, it's pretty fucking atrocious trying to farm up to 6 in my jungle playing something like Evelynn when actual teamfights occur every second minute. Almost every game is a clusterfuck if at least two players have the audacity to force such fights, simply because the way this game works allows them to. but I'm from EUNE, AKA wild card region, it's been a thing in here for a long time but it only gets worse with all the changes the game is going through

I noticed this when I first started playing about a month ago. Want to win the game? Mow down the enemy team. Now as I am getting into higher mm I noticed that now its essentially the same thing...just takes longer till someone budges and dies. Once that happens the you can expect more and more things to happen. After about the 10 minute mark you can tell which team will win and loose. The ONLY thing I can think of that combats this in the games current state is to stay back and farm minions late game as they come to your base so you can build up items and stand a chance. What I think could help the game is that champs should be awarded for preforming their role. Supports for healing providing buffs ect. ADC/jungle for doing damage and kills (the gold amount for kills should be lowered though) tanks for absorbing damage (at least I think that's the point of a tank)....you get the idea. I believe this would make people learn their roles better and people would need to preform better for their team to win, if you arent doing so well as a support then the enemy team support is going to be helping their team more. If your adc is better than their adc then it balances out. What do you think?

The game is fun right now, stop crying. And who the hell wants to spend a ton of time per game??? Especially with this garbage blue essence change.

Should have seen games in bronze. It has always been team deathmatch down there

JoeMG12/19/2017, 5:00:57 PM1 votes

I was fumbling around with the idea of champion kills not giving gold, or giving a much smaller amount of gold and exp. I feel like that might help promote objectives and deter games from becoming slayer matches. This way the only incentive for killing would be to make it easier to take objectives. It would also help with snowballing too.

Riot took away our chess and gave us checkers.

Arcane Blue Boi12/19/2017, 7:49:17 AM1 votes

in lower elos the game has already been a team deathmatch for quite a long time

So you rather be stuck with a troll who abuses the system and gets away with it for longer? Please.

On your point though, there is a problem if some champs are designed for late game. Yet, they were not changed to handle the shorter late game. Looking at you:

Yeah, definitely not having as much fun now as I did when I started a Year and a half ago. Game is just in a rough state right now where objectives don't mean much, Towers are basically paper mache`, Damage is WAY overtuned. Wrong champs are being nerfed, wrong champs are being buffed and Riot seems to be too ignorant or purposefully ignorant to the fact that a lot of the missing MR and Armor people took in the old system is one of the main factors this preseason is so messed up.

It is okay to try new things but I feel like Riot totally screwed up this new Rune system. It is not totally thought out well.

League is just not fun right now. And that sucks.
