Cho'Gath is extremely overpowered right now.

I mean, just look at him. The only thing more overpowering than Cho'Gath is the smell of anyone who plays him.

HOW ARE YOU GONNA FIGHT BACK, EKKO? YOU CAN'T CAST SPELLS FOR ALMOST THREE SECONDS.

EndlessSorcerer1 votes

Ekko I'll just whack you with my stick a few times. Not like you'll come anywhere close to killing me before it wears off. The better question is how you'll get away from me without any escapes and delayed CC.

Ekko's definitely unbalanced, but I'm sure in the eyes of Riot be like:

According to Meddler, they are experimenting with nerfs/tweak to weaken Tank Ekko.

Deadline for the 6.10 patch has passed so they will likely be included in the 6.11 patch.

The better question is how will Ekko get away from Cho with his Rylai's?

I think you're underestimating the Freelo of The Void.

Obviously, by dashing over a wall.

It isn't like Cho'gath is going to kill a tank Ekko before he can get to one, especially when Ekko slows him down.

It isn't like Tank Ekko is going to kill Cho either, ever.

I really understand you,but trust me,he is not over powered,he's the definition of cancer with almost no counterplay and no brain requirement, say thanks to his passive and early-mid game

TyroneWatermelon1 votes

He's like the Mage version of Lee sin-one shot everything that moves until everyone got 4 completed items, except more area of effect and less mobility

Except if Cho buys items too then he still destroys them?

TyroneWatermelon1 votes

Theoretically, yes, but the opponent also gets items, being able to prevent his burst from killing it,and burst him while his spells are on cd,however, this occurs in the very end of the game.

Cho literally just W>R's the not-tank and they die.

Depends on how much the braindead beast got fed, don't forget the w flash ult

So he's OP.

Depends,damage wise?yes,game breaking?i don't know,what I know is that he's anti fun,toxic and require no brain,but somehow his winrate is below 50

Compared to the definition of broken, which are Ekko,Malzahar and few more he barely has a name

Cho'gath has good stats, but a very low skill ceiling. So he's overpowered when played by and against people still learning the game. But when people are able to position around his fairly low range, easily dodgeable Q, and poor mobility, he loses a lot of appeal.

He's very snowbally; if you're winning lane and getting a lot of CS, you get a lot of sustain and you just keep winning. So a fed Cho'gath is overpowered, yes, as are a lot of champions. But if you don't get the first kill, you just start losing faster and faster, especially after you lose half of your Feast stacks.

At the same time, in higher tier play, people know how to actually land Cho's Q, so it's a lot less "easily dodgeable" that you think it is. Mobiltiy doesn't mean anything when Cho has the kit that he does. That's like saying "Brand is bad because he has no mobility". He's not, mobiltiy doesn't matter and he has the tools to deal with it. Cho is a secondary engage. Let the tank engage, and then engage off of that. That's how you play Cho and that's how you abuse him for freelo.

Also not getting the first kill doesn't matter to Cho. It's not like you can force him out of lane, lol. besides, once he gets Rylai's and RoA, it's game over for whoever he looks at.

Cho's Q is delayed and in the middle of the lane; it only hits if you can force someone against a wall. Really, it's better to force people to walk in a certain direction, like towards a ganking jungler or away as you're retreating. Late game, you can chain it, but it's not effective for the first 5-10 minutes, when you need to be building your snowball.

Rylai's and RoA is bad; you have no resistances and die way faster than if you had one and a resistance item. And if you want to kill people in a glance, just go item 3089 item 3285 and admit to yourself you're playing an off-meta squishy mage instead of a tanky top laner. Rylai's RoA won't get you there, not unless the opponent's playing a squishy that can't position out of range of your W-flash-ult combo.

You can force him out of lane pretty easy if you freeze in front of your turret and stop him from getting CS to sustain. Any ranged top laner, champs with hard hitting skillshots that Cho just can't dodge Illaoi , better duelers, etc. and he just can't approach you.

I really don't think you understand Cho'Gath.

I think his passive can be overbearing pre 6, and it feels like his ult is a very low cd no counter play skill. He has allot of bad matchups though, and he falls off late.
