Will there ever be a Champion who can use Mana Burn? Assume MB was altered to be more fair.

When I say "more fair", I mean something like "burns X% of target's current mana, reduced by enemy resistances", so that tanks don't get screwed by it as much as mages do.

Mana burn has been out of League for so long, but does Riot still think it's fundamentally toxic?

That was a thing ... I'd say it probably won't make it into any champion kits because that would make some matchups inherently unfair, IE facing a resource less team. But I could see it becoming a niche pick item that you might build against someone like ryze who stacks mana.

Item or Champion, it just needs to have some sort of incarnation in the game that won't screw over tanks. That's why I'd make a version that doesn't burn as much if your target has high resists.

I'd make it more like Dominiks, the higher total mana the target has the higher % it burns.

Could be both. I just say % current mana so the enemy can't get bottomed at 0 mana for extended periods of time. That's the reason they took it off Wit's End so long ago.

You're talking about like a mana drain right? Is it fair to say tanks drain mana by soaking spells?

I don't understand mana burn.

No, we mean something like the Demon Hunters in Warcraft 3.

Thanks. I'll have to look into that.

Having it being added back to Wit's End might be nice

Overall, i think League needs fundamental changes to how ADC items work in terms of Crit/AS and how ADC items should work

IMO, Riot needs to pull a Dota 2 and make Crit a unique modifier that doesn't stack from other sources. Then Make all the Crit/AS items just AS items. Crit/AS combined in items make them exponentially more efficient for ADCs as purchases. Every AS/CRit item is essentially a Rabadon's for ADCs

If it's added back to Wit's End, it can't be as a passive effect or we end up with situations where an ADC can keep a tank at 0 mana for extended periods of time, which was why Mana Burn was removed from the game in the first place.

I'd have the Mana Burn tied to some sort of active effect, either being a temporary buff to the user's attacks or an active quasi-nuke effect that burns a target enemy Champion for one hit. I'd personally go with the latter.

Anti-Mage in League? LUL?

Probably never going to happen again as it is a pretty unfair mechanic.
