Congratulations to CertainlyT for designing a champion that can make the #BigLCSPlays that will be nerfed every other patched and will still be must pick/ban at worlds.

I would complain about all the bullshit that is in her kit, but I'm not sure that more than 20% of the people in my elo will be able to use her close to effectively.

Seriously though, whenever CertainlyT makes a kit, Riot should split that kit in half and give it to two people who won't overload it.

Real talk tho. Has he made a champ that wasn't completely bullshit yet?

He certainly makes champions with identities. I think some other champions are too underloaded in my opinion.

Yea, that is fair. You deff have defining traits in his champs...to bad "its fucking op" is what people say before and after that trait.

Darius Zyra Zed Thresh Yasou Kalista

I wasn't playing all that much when Darius was released, but he was apparently bullshit as well.

The only one of those i think that wasn't completely op was Thresh. He could just do alot of things which pissed people off. Even then however, he still had to get nerfed. All his champs get nerfs a patch or two after release because they don't know how to do math lol.

At least he didn't work on Kass. His ult prolly woulda been global.

No, thresh is still a good pick and he's gotten nothing but nerfed since release. He has lost in every area, losing dmg and mechanics (shield only affects 1 ally). He's still strong

Killer X 121 votes

Yes, i agree he is still strong. The potential for outplay is large.

If CertainlyT worked on Kass,

Passive would remain the same ... except it would have a magic shield every 5 spell casts Q would remain the same ... except the shield would be replaced by bonus AP W would remain the same, ... but it's passive would shred MR E would be some sort of long ranged skill shot with a displacement that could apply W's passive R would be mostly the same, ... except for the slow it would apply on landing

Wasn't Zyra designed by Morello?

Champion designers don't do the balancing. They make the kit, not the numbers.

Zed is often cited as the healthiest assassin kit, due to the amount of skilltesting plays you can make with his shadows and the amount of counterplay his assassination pattern affords the target.

Zyra is a pretty awesome design. Released overtuned, has since proven to be pretty interesting in both support and mid.

To be honest, I think Darius is the best champion he has made. He has mana costs, low mobility, and isn't as tanky as most bruisers. That's a real weakness. Why I don't think Zed is healthy is due to the fact that you have to wait for your inevitable death, usually as an overconfident player spams laugh and his mechanics are similar to LeBlanc's when it comes to juking. To me the healthiest assassin kit is Pantheon. I hate him, but his mana costs and falling off late game mean real weaknesses, a bit like Darius, most other champions CertainlyT makes have less distinct weaknesses (those two you mentioned never really become weak, but, for example in Zed's case, he is at his weakest during early game, with some energy costs and high CD on shadow, yet he isn't as weak as, for example, Singed in his early game, nor anything similar). Still I think his ideas are good, but maybe someone else should duo with him to keep him from unleashing monsters.

He's one of the best champion designers. Kalista is fine and probably needs some numbers tuning.

He just gets hate because people have issues dealing with champions that aren't simply copies of other champions but with small numbers changes and minor retouches on already existing abilities. Take Jinx for example, she does nothing particularly interesting. Her kit isn't particularly innovative and none of her abilities introduced something we haven't seen anywhere else. She's a great champion, and very well executed, but she isn't innovative.

I agree with Inept Maverick. There are many underloaded champions that have no hugely unique identities or that have too much of their power in one small facet. CertainlyT spreads his power budget and builds meaningful... I hate this word... synergies between his champion's abilities.

All of his champions need to be tuned after release because they do interesting/different things and it takes awhile to get them in line because** new things are harder to balance than old things.** I don't think it's a really hard concept. And Yasuo was never really problematic on release, he became problematic after they had to buff him.

Kalista an Ashe with mobility from the looks of it, so any melee champion without a gapcloser is flat out going to suck against her.

But she is new and exciting, so it sucks to be melee.

I really like the creativity that comes along with Kalista and champions with crazy kits like her. I'd rather have a wide variety of ways to play than some basic moves. And if they're op at first they'll get nerfed. It's not like Yasuo is exactly Yasu-OP right now. He used to be, but he blends in pretty well with everyone else now.

Yeah sure. All of his characters are so interesting/different. Cause Darius wasn't just another version of Garen with 3x the damage and a mini Blitz hook instead of a sword swing. Zed wasn't just Leblanc with higher DMG and more escapes.

Thresh is Blitzcrank 2.0 with Veigar's Q bonus as a zero skill passive leech. The singular thing he's added was the Lantern, and that's the only part of the whole deal that is neat.

It turns out Kalista is a troll champion. Either she's trolling the enemy team with unlimited mobility or she's trolling her allies by force binding them and throwing them into enemy towers. The guy who is making these decisions isn't operating on a budget, he's just taking 7 or 8 skills from other characters, doubling the base damage, and cramming them into 5 slots. So innovative.
