Ranked gated forums?

To reduce wastes of bandwidth and to improve topic quality (such that half of all topics are not "X champion super OP because it beat me!!!!111!" or "PROMOS ARE BULLSHIT" or "I AM CHALLENJOUR STUCK IN ELO HELL") I suggest adding a ranked gate to starting topics here. Maybe gold+ to prove that they at least have some game knowledge or mechanical skill. Anyone can still reply.

Otherwise the original ideas, analyses, tips for beginners, advanced strategies and mechanical outplay footage here will be drowned out by the complainers.

And who says that an unranked player can't have any concept or idea of gameplay mechanics? The more I play before even going into ranked the more I will learn and be able to pass on to my fellow newer summoners.

Not for balancing, Riot has stated that they only want to balance around plat+ elos.

That being said making boards plat+ only is sort of ranked segregation which isn't what Riot wants. That and there are plat+ players making shit tier threads like "zed should get nerfed he is OP" and "lux isn't OP wtf riot", so making boards plat+ isn't going to accomplish anything.

Not for balancing, Riot has stated that they only want to balance around plat+ elos.

They've also balanced around low MMR as well. Certain champs who aren't used often at high MMR but cause problems at low MMR still get occasional nerfs.

Of course there are plat+ players with low game knowledge. However the probability is much lower. Just because vaccines do not stop all cases of disease, doesn't mean that you don't vaccinate people.

Yeah, no. Riot wants the board to be an OPEN place for people of Casual and Ranked play to be able to speak how they do... so If they were to do that, it would cut out even the people that don't play ranked, and there are plenty of unranked players that are quite amazing and do know what they are talking about because ranks mean little to nothing in a real world.

I can claim anything. I can claim to be the next Bruce Lee, just that I don't feel like registering for a MMA competition.

And this isn't the real world. This is league. The real world equivalent would be: a think tank or government directorate on science or policy has only people with MS or PHD degrees in it. They don't get high school dropout from the trailer park to sit at Department of Energy or National Security Council meetings.

I don't get it. One of the purposes of this gameplay forum is to talk about balance changes AKA "game policy". In the real world, "national policy" is set by MS and PHD holders. So what's the equivalent of a MS or PHD holder in League? Well, the percentage of the population with a graduate degree of some sort is roughly 9% or so. In league terms that's plat+.

Low elo kids downvoting...I agree with you, if you wanna discuss the balance of the game you should have some game knowledge yourself. Anyone with decent knowledge about this game would have no trouble getting atleast Gold.
