Less hp means nothing. 8% is still 8%. The only nerf is that it does the damage as physical and will be mitigated a little more due to increased armor.

I doubt it will be that noticeable but we'll have to wait and see.

And as people have said. The item is a little over the top anyway.

Lets say you do 8% of 4000 health, with 50% resistance from armor. vs 8% of 3500 health with 55% resistance from armor.

160 to 126 per auto from bork. That's 30% less damage.

Health is a big part, and so it the fact that is deal that %health in physical damage.

Yea well 160 damage on a 4000 health target is still 4% amd 126 damahe on a 3500 health is like 3.56% so it is a nerf but not really even noticable

It does less damage, but you also have less health to soak said damage with. I feel like the Boards really get % Health damage wrong because people are too concerned with the amount of damage being dealt. It doesn't matter if it is item 3153 or Vayne or Fiora . The real question you need to ask is: What is the number of total hits to kill?

8% is 8%. 126 might be less than 160, but 3500 is also less than 4000. Just because the damage per hit is numerically lower does NOT mean that it will be any slower at killing you. Having less Health might make BotRK and Vayne's W deal less damage to you, but it is still the same % of your Health so having more Health after the proc is always better.

Don't think of it as "Now BotRK's 8% proc will only deal 126 damage instead of the 160 it was doing before". That's backwards thinking. You need to be thinking "How far will the 92% remaining Health after the proc get me?".

3500 - 126 = 3374 4000 - 160 = 3840

I would rather have ~3800 Health left to soak the rest of the damage vs. only having ~3300 to get me through the rest of the fight.

Here's hoping the Armor changes balance out.

In that case, wouldn't having more health, alongside armor, be better? So that you can soak up the flat physical damage they have (in Vayne's case, it is her autos and Q, same with Fiora) We are speaking of tanks, of course.

Probably. Sounds good honestly.

Given how strong BotRK is right now, I think this minor nerf to it's effectiveness is good

Yeah I did nice and all one problem though.

In lane vs. the other ADC and stuff before even running into tanks Bork will still be too much. Nice slow to start a fight and 15% lifesteal and killing power at a great price. It'll still need to be nerfed I predict and then it'll be in the more troubled spot in light of the armor changes and potentially armor pen changes.

Lifesteal or price might need nerf.

Except for that it gives you a 100% health increase as an active, but if that is not activated I can see your point.

He's talking about the changes to Deadman's Plate where it's being given less HP and more armor.

Anags1 votes

They did that to almost all of the items

Indeed, however it still makes tanks weaker to everything else that's flat damage. They should undo the buff to the ruin blade, that'd put it back into niche status.

Khadaver1 votes

Since they have more armor, they are reducing more flat dmg. Bork is still percentage dmg so it will still be near the same.

A humongous 10 extra armor, you can get more on runes.

I see it as a ninja buff to Last Whisper
