World Record AD Zed

This is not something that would be practical to do in an actual game. It would require a group of people on both teams to work together, and it would take a long time to accomplish.

So you can build whatever items you like on Zed in order to maximize his AD, but in order to truly reach the most AD possible you have to use the passive portion of his ultimate.

This means that you have to kill an enemy champion with a stupid amount of AD.

So you have to have Zed kill the "World Record AD Jhin"

To get that Jhin and his team will need 3 Infernal Drakes and will need to have the Elder Dragon buff active at the time.

I'm actually between two item builds on Jhin.

item 3508 item 3031 item 3031 item 3031 item 3031 item 3124 item 2140 or item 3508 item 3031 item 3046 item 3046 item 3812 item 3124 item 2140

Both of these would give him 100% critical strike chance. The first one would give him more AD before applying his passive, but the second will still give a lot of AD and would make the most use of his passive.

He will also need attack speed Marks and Quints.

For Masteries 5 Fury 1 Fresh Blood 5 Natural Talent 1 Bounty Hunter 5 Battering Blows 1 Deathfire Touch

And for the last 12 points, ... you can really do whatever you want.

For Jhin's allies, Lulu, Nunu, and Nidalee can buff his attack speed And an equally fed AP Janna can increase his AD even further

So, all of this together can make for a monster Jhin, but this isn't about Jhin. This is about Zed

And this of course all depends on if Zed's ultimate actually works the way i think. My understanding of his ultimate calculates the AD of the target AT THE TIME OF DEATH. So as long as he kills Jhin when he is fully buffed, Zed should gain 20% of that AD permanently.

The most difficult thing about getting Zed to actually kill Jhin with his ultimate would actually be Janna's shield. My theory is that you will have to have Zed kill Jhin with max AD without Janna's shield in order to get that AD boost first, then try it again afterward with the shield. Jhin will also probably have to be nearly dead before the shield is applied.

From what I was able to calculate, before the dragon and allied buffs, Jhin should be around 1200 AD. After these buffs, he may be close to 2000.

20% of 2000 is a bonus 400 AD

So again, this would be impractical to accomplish in an actual game, but I think it could be fun to pull off.

You would have a Jhin and a Zed who could LITERALLY one-shot pretty much anyone.

Couldn't two Zeds in a blind pick theoretically reach infinite AD, each of them stealing it from each other?

Theoretically, if they wanted to kill each other again, and again, and again, for all eternity.

You only gain up to 20% of their AD.

If they both had 500 AD

When 1 kills the other, they would gain 100 AD, putting them at 600 AD When the second one kills the first, they gain 120 AD, putting them at 620 AD When the first kills the second again they would only gain 24 AD, putting them at 624 AD Then when the second kills the first again they would only gain 4.8 AD, putting them at 624.8 AD The first would then gain 0.96 .... 0.032 AD .... 0.0054 AD

So as you see, it becomes negligible quite quickly.

It does taper off to near negligibility pretty quickly, but we're not aiming for realistic here, as you already noted. The thing I'm not sure about though, and don't care enough to find out, is if it's actually an unbounded series at all, because it looks like it may well approach an asymptote and level off completely. Still, the first few cycles combined with other strategies detailed here might be able to boost it notably beyond just a single Zed getting the one kill.

Pretty sure the AD gains are just a geometric series with ratio .2, so in an infinite killing exchange the Zeds would end up with 1.25 their original AD.

It's late at night so I might be oversimplfying things, but it might be that simple.

That sounds pretty reasonable, but I never really memorized all the forms of infinite series and didn't wanna go look back through my calc notes from last year to figure it out.

Regarding janna shield, the target loses the AD when the shield breaks, and so when jhin died the shield would be necessarily be broken and he hence wouldn't have the bonus AD.

Max AP janna would need to be on Zed team to shield him as part of the end product there though.

edit: Also, I don't see why DFT matters at all as far as masteries go (and theres probably some other unnecessary ones there too). In fact, I'm pretty sure fervor boosts AD directly now rather than adding bonus damage, so you'd actually want fervor instead of dft to kill jhin when he had max fervor stacks.

edit2: A page full of scaling AD runes on jhin (and zed) would produce higher AD at level 18.

edit3: Neither of your item builds are optimal either. item 3031 item 3031 item 3031 item 3124 item 3072 item 3072 Is better, with IE's interchangable with ERs, and BTs interchangable with death's dances. (Use an ally with zekes to get up to 100% crit chance.)

I can agree with your point about Janna, .. although it would still be nice to add that 100+ AD from Janna's Shield to Jhin. I guess you could replace Janna with Ezreal or Warwick for more attack speed.

I was wrong about Fervor. I thought it simply added on-hit damage instead of actually adding AD for some reason.

I am not sure about an AD vs attack speed page really making a HUGE difference, but you may be right.

Same for the build. I believe it would all just come down to having either a larger base or a larger multiplier.

I'm not bad at math, but the math that goes into these calculations are too much for me.

I am at least glad that you agree with me about Rageblade being in there.

The dragons are better to have on Zed than on Jhin for it to be better on Jhin, 5.4% of Jhin's AD pre-dragon would have to be greater than 36% of Zeds pre-dragon AD which means that even if Jhin had 2000 AD, Zed would only need 300 AD for the dragons to be better on him, which he could easily get just from items So the dragon buffs need to be on Zed's team

You couldn't get Jhin to have that much AD without dragons.

Yes, which is why the dragons are much more valuable on Zed

Sigh, okay fine.

I will give up the sham.

This was initially all about getting the most AD on Jhin. Zed was actually more of an afterthought.

I knew if I titled the post "World Record AD Jhin" people would ignore it because it is so overdone.

So yes, I was being deceitful, but you can't tell me I'm wrong about which would get more attention.
