Feels Bad - "Trash Jungler"

Elite4Runner··18 votes·8,732 views

When your first 3 ganks result in the enemy getting away with 10 hp because your laners don't react to you being in their lane, DESPITE OMW PINGS.

Then the enemy team gets a turn kill on you, putting you further behind because you were trying to make early plays instead of afk farming.

And of course your team blames you for being a "trash jungler" because their opponents are starting to snowball.

See my problem lies on the other end where jungles don't ping on the way and come up with half hp and blame me cause they died. Like I get it I should watch the map maybe a bit more, but when playing nasus I'm just watching life bars and stacks. If the enemy jungle comes up cause I'm not watching fuck it. Either I die or I get +12 from those really strong cannon minions.

Sure, that happens too. We should all be trying to improve on our habits. Not even that long ago, maybe a few months ago, I was bad about not pinging "on my way" before I gank in more than half of my ganks. Now, I'm much better about it. I still forget once or twice for every ten ganks (I don't have stats to back this up) but that is some good improvement.

I don't often play in a lane, so when I do I fall into this trap too. The way jungle is shaping up, I might need to improve my lane habits next season and I'm sure this would be one of them.

Fun thing is: You die against their laner it is your fault for feeding their opponent. They die to the enemy jungler and feed your opponent it is still your fault for their bad play.

Just recently i played Shyv jungle, in this game i have in mind i started red side blue buff and just before the camp spawned i warded river to see if enemy jungle (kayn) would go there as i was clearing my third camp or not.

And he does, as i am clearing wolves i see him run down river and i start spam pinging botlane to back.....and they just dont listen, at all, and give him a double kill 2 minutes into the game.

And he snowballs hard as hell, and ganks toplane and kills toplane 3 times in a row because top was a swain with no brakes on aggression train.

"Useless jungler no ganks"

How dafq am i supposed to beat a jungler who has finished his first item and is a full level over me when i only have item 3715 and nothing else ._.

Or the time when i played against a udyr who cheese killed my toplane riven 3 times in a row before he also started snowballing and invading completely uncontrollably.......i was called useless because someone else fed their asses off then too.

It’s all depends on situation. For example x if thereks a huge wave of enemy minions under your tower and enemy laner is stays so somewhere in the middle of the lane x donkt expect laner to follow, and yes if you still ganked and even died thatks totally your missplay because laner shouldn't lose huge minionwave which is migt be equal gold as for taking a kill to follow your gank. But if minionwave isn’t that big and he’s stays near your turret, THEN your laner should follow and if he’s not, it’s his misplay or if you landed a good cc also. The point is, depends from the situation their calls on blaming you might be not wrong( not justifying flame, they shouldn’t write it in chat) so i’d suggest OP to actually analyze better rather than just go full “oh nau blaim junglir” train, this will be better for your improvement

They were in lane, ... they were within exp range of cs, .. they needed to divert a single auto attack. ... champion kill gold better than a single minion gold. ... they could have gone back to farming INSTANTLY, ... I wouldn't have been wasting my time, and would have been more relevant later in order to help them , ... they would have also denied more gold and exp from their lane opponent, ...

Yeah, I don't see how your situations are relevant at all.

You’re pretty much repeating my words, once i said. DEPENDS ON THE SITUATION IT MIGHT BE GOOD OR BAD IDEA, i never said you’re 100% wrong here since i haven’t saw replay of this gank. I was talking about situation in general, that just run it down all the time isn’t a really smart thing to do, i saw a really big Amount of junglers who’s doing something really stupid (aka dive tank at lvl 3) or enganging on enemy who’s 1500 range from me so i wonkt be able to go in there unless i play hypermobile champ in time and blaming me for no follow. And don’t get me wrong, i DO play jungle, so i can understand your frustration, this is my secondary role right now, and idk, i rarely have these kind of problems of not following lanes during gank, thing that’s happens more often when you’re getting invaded by enemy laner and yours doesn’t bother to follow which is oftenly making my jungle a lot more problematic

Tldr: i never said your wrong, i didnkt watched replay, i meant situation in general, i playing jungle myself and rarely have these kind of issues

I gave the situation in my original post! lol

Or at least enough to say that the enemy was within a single auto attack of death.

That depends.. If I'm level 2 vs a level 3 Fizz or whatever and my jungler ganks, I wont follow you. I know its a stupid trade that will accomplish nothing but me losing half hp from all the enemy minions. It has happened too many times that junglers just refuse to listen to level up pings.

Okay, lets rationalize this for a second. .. I'm not really that much of a mid laner, and I don't have much experience with Fizz specifically. However, from what I understand, he is a champion that really wants to snowball asap and start roaming to pressure other lanes.

You're also leaving your champion wide open, so I am just going to have to assume that you're playing someone who is a fairly meta mid laner and you are somewhat competent in playing them.

If they are level 3 and you are level 2, they probably aren't that far ahead of you unless you missed exp from being out of lane doing who-knows-what. ..

An intelligent Fizz player is probably going to take this small level advantage to try and make a play on you.

As the jungler trying to gank within this window, I am either already on my way in when he engages, or I am waiting until he makes his move. Either way, he is now down some very important cooldowns and probably over extended.

Whenever possible, I like to run the early level 3 jungle clear, Red, Gromp, Raptors, which puts me right by mid lane, so this makes sense for me to be here ready to gank.

So now we have a level 2 mid and a level 3 jungler against a level 3 mid that just blew one or two of his potential escape abilities in order to engage.

That sounds like a pretty good opportunity for you to help your jungler secure a kill to me.

Most mids also ward at around level 3-4 if they push it in. So again, not the most efficient trade. Sometimes I cant do jackshit with just 2 abilities ( think Veigar ). Sometimes I can ( Irelia/ Ahri) but my comment was more of a rant against junglers who REFUSE to listen to level up pings. I ping them because they're obviously important.

Okay, and that is fine, but still using the example match ups you're giving. Fizz is an incredibly mobile champion. All of the champions that you mentioned have some form of cc, and preventing his mobility should be on your mind by level 2. Event Horizon, Flawless Duet, and Charm should be your second ability for all three of those champions against a Fizz.

Well Fizz is just the first thing that popped in my head lol. This scenario works with every midlaner, and if they're mobile, as long as theyve used their mobility spells already.

Your initial comment really sounded to me like if your opponent is a level up on you, you're picking farm over helping your jungle regardless of the situation.

I love it when I spot an enemy nearby my laner mindlessly walking in the jungle and despite my warnings, they just walk into each other.
