I cant wait for next season's Tank Meta

Defenses are gone so everyone will be doing more damage that includes tanks so adcs and mages are gonna complain about that. Tank runes are weak as hell so people playing tank champions gonna pick other runes. Adcs havent had to kite for such along time so when they start taking damage again they gonna complain that they taking too much damage. Tanks gonna end up being nerfed even more because rioters see them as being unskilled champions to play having to be in the front of everyone and take the damage from the entire enemy team and you cant get damage on your cc abilities because you got cc that was already punished for being cc by having super long cooldown.

Explain how the tank runes are weak? Some of them actually look really good, not to mention going Resolve as your keystone gives you a health bonus (110 I think?) right off the bat. Aftershock looks fucking hilarious on Sion, and devastating impact will allow tanks to splitpush, giving you another reason to take them that doesn't involve them being overpowered. Overgrowth will allow tanks to stay even bulkier in the late game. Every 40 minions is 1% bonus health, so you can imagine during the late game when the tanks have like 320 farm, 8% bonus health is going to be helpful. Especially for Sion, when 320 minions is equal to or greater than 960 bonus health. These runes look like a lot of fun tbh.

Also, so what if a tank meta starts? ADCs had most of the fucking season of uninterrupted relevance to whether or not a game is won. It's about time other roles mattered again.

Going aftershock on Sion? I was thinking grasp.

Both look good, but I'm imagining slamming into somebody with my ult, getting super tanky off of Aftershock, and then blowing up for an additional percentage of my health as damage. I think Aftershock might be better for solo Q carrying while Grasp might be better for being the team's bitch nerd tank

Plus if I remember Grasp only gives 4 health per proc and that's....eh, I guess? The vamp portion is still cool though

Can't see tanks being meta those burst and damage runes are too strong.

% health bonuses are useless if there's no late game. Heck even grasp got nerfed from 3 to 4 seconds combat before it procs.Good luck with all the super high motility champs out there.

I would think Pre-season will be the Season of the Lucian mains. You know when you can have both runes that drop an adaptive item on someone after 3 hits. He can get that off so easily. Or the Fizz mains. Believe me season 8 will not be a Tank meta it will be the assassin meta.

It already is an assassin meta. It's just ADCs are the assassins and what we call assassins are bait.

I didnt mean that i would be a tank meta rather that like very season adc and mage mains are gonna flood the boards because they took damage from a tank when they refuse to build defensive items.

Resolve is strong. Tanks + adc's meta it will be in my opinion.

Riot has literally been pushing tanks despite them being unskilled. Notice how Bramble 'auto win' Vest is a thing? Stoneplate? Adaptive Helm?
