Can the honor system get some love please ?

I mean like making the ribbon prettier or more noticeable or something. Maybe be able to flash it around like people flash their champion mastery. Or have like a little start sticker or something on their champion icon. I'm serious as childish as that sounds make it seem like something people can flash around with pride so people would be more willing to be more helpful and less toxic. I'm suggesting something flashier and more noticeable basically. Maybe even lower the amount of honors needed to get a banner too.[slayer-jinx-catface]

Please No hextech rewards like someone suggested once, gambling shouldn't be part of the reward system. Plus I feel hextech feel pretty terrible atm.

I approve. Anything able to try and enforce better behavior from summoners.

I think the honor system needs to almost become mandatory rather than an optional side "if you remember" type of thing.

First riot should look at stats - how often is honor given to an ally on a losing team (honorable opponent excluded basically). I'd guess almost never.

After the game, victory or defeat, before you get the post game menu a thing should pop up asking you to select any teammates/enemies that deserve honor. Allow multiple selections on the same player. Add an option as "played really well" / better than this elo / carried / etc... (doesn't have to do anything but would be nice if someone who consistently gets this one perhaps gets better LP gains or something...). Of course ignore premades honoring themselves.

I don't even need the new honors or multi-honors. Just make it a thing you have to do. You have to click to not honor anyone so you may as well honor someone if they deserved it.

As someone who is pretty positive in most of my games, especially when i'm doing well, it's shocking when i don't get an honor after a really good game where everything I've said is complimenting allies (while I'm making the plays [/too]. It's just very clear that people forget / don't care to participate in it.

The honoring system (Hopefully) will get some changes soon. I'm not sure what sort of interaction or rewards besides the banner will be around in the future but I can say there was a thread about potential modifications to the honor system a few days ago which rito replied to with this:

I don't know what they plan, but if all goes well we should get something to encourage good behavior and sportsmanship.

I think a system which allowed honoring to feel like it matters would be a bit better. Even in games where great things happen, everyone works together, etc, nobody ever really sends honors. It has made it so incredibly hard to get those little banners it seems almost pointless to even try. If banners were easier to get, and provided some sort of incentive besides that tiny little thing in the border in the loading screen it would probably be better. Give the player something fancy to be proud of.

I very much agree with your "LP gains or something" idea. Incentivising good behavior has always proved more effective than punishing bad behavior.

well even though a smiley text doesn't tell much at least it's an indication that one of them saw it, and i fully agreed with that quote. It should be implemented in a way that it's part of the game not just an optional thing that's hardly noticeable. At least a nice reminder for everyone after the match would be appreciated if we want to honor or not a player.
