An scaling item for tanks named Harden Garnet.

#Build out item 1028 + 425 = 825 gold

#Stats

  • +200 Health

Unique Passive: +7% Maximum Health

#Changes

item 3067 = item 1028 + 400 = 800 (right now kiddle gem is prices really expensive for the stats it provide. This small price reduction should help it a little bit in the early game.)

#Build into

Harden Garnet can be build into some new items and maybe some existing like item 3102 or item 3143. What it should be build into can be discussed here.

#Others Overal the idea behind this item to benefit champions that want to go tanky while starting with a high base heath. Champion that have values like that are Garen Taric Zac Alistar Amumu, ... Isn't that the group that struggles right now? What do you think ? ;)

not gold efficient enough. If your going to make a health scaling item, it should at least be 3000 item. I would probably combinded it with a giants belt and give it at least 500 health.

I calcuate it and reduced the passive to 7%. That would give arround 150-170 health (200 health from item included) on level 18. When it get's upgraded into a item the passive can be increased to 10% again. But this way it won't overscale item 1011.

If you want tanks to use it I think you should increase the percentage.... however make it bonus health only to reward tanks for actually building HP not just having good base stats (for those tanks/bruisers who do)

Like making it a tank equivalent to Infinity Edge/Rabadons deathcap

Was actualy thinking about that one first. Honnestly the only thing that worries me was this:

  • item 3035 & item 3135 get's total penetration. Why shouldn't this item have total scaling
  • By making it bonus health the powerspike early on the item will be a lot less powerfull. Not to mention that most full tanks start with a high max health and so naturaly benefit more from the as bruisers.

I was actualy even thinking about replacing the giant belt from item 3143 with this. Right now item 3143 is the bruiser item to change into a tank with just one item. By delaying the powerspike of that item. Bruisers will be less tanky in the midgame.

The advantage with giving it bonus health will enable it to have a higher % and can make it more effective if used on Tanks... Though it might also be a bit abusive on champions like Sion or Cho'gath is that they have in built bonus health

Won't help enough. Tanks doesn't lack itemization for tank stats. They lack pure presence in teamfight. Either their team is ahead and their CC is pretty much an more-win condition, either their team is behind and their CC isn't enough to help their team comeback.

The real issue isn't about stats or health. The issue comes from the possibility to ignore them completly. If you really want the item route you would need an item that redirect a part of the damage dealt to people around him to him (like a maokai ult but that actually damages the user). It helps against assassins without messing up the ennemy carries.

Otherwise, you could still go like riot does and always buff these champions to the point where they become better top laners and just leave the jungle. (I'm being ultra negative on that last sentence... ikr)
