Does dusnblade suffer from the same things that justified DFG's removal?
Cause it seems off having DFG long gone for the play style it enabled but now having Duskblade effectively doing the same thing for AD champs.

No, DFG offered both burst and sustained damage so...
Uhhhhhhh...
Nothing to see here
Where exactly was the sustained damage?
Not quite. IIRC DFG was designed as a way for mages to deal with tanks but mages abused it and used it to obliterate squishies with little to no counterplay. Duskblade and Lethality by extension, isn't designed to deal with tanks, but is designed to deal with low armour targets and is being used for its intended purpose. The problem is that Duskblade does it a little too well and is overtuned.
Duskblade isn't ranged and doesn't amplify damage from other sources so nothing really similar about them. DFG could also be used to pop spellshields. It was incredibly effective against squishies and tanks.
It's ranged on ranged champions. Also, even if it's not, it applies on basic attacks. If DFG applied on spell hits, it'd be much better than it just being ranged.
