Starting Out
While my regular NA is stuck in bronze, I decided to give my new smurf account a shot. Starting at level one, I quickly remembered why I never bothered to play on a smurf account: I have no champions. It'd be okay if I could just start out with Master Yi, or Warwick, or Annie. But no, I have to start out with solely the champion rotation, and the zero IP I currently possess. It's fine for me, as I have a decent knowledge of the champions, so I could easily play as Ryze, or Jinx, etc... But as a brand new player, wouldn't it be more efficient to, instead of giving them a new roster of champs that they won't be able to afford until level 10, and forcing them to start new by level 4 (as a new rotation comes out) why not give them 450 IP to start off with? This way, they can pick up a random champ they like, and begin to get down the basics, before rushing into a 6300 IP, skillshot reliant, hard to play-harder to master champ unknowingly. I'm just saying, it would be easier for a brand-new player to say "Ryze looks cool," and buy him, then go "Oooh the people on WikiHow say that Draven is OP. Let's use him".
