PSA: Every champ has weaknesses and Strengths.

Alert: I know many people have made posts like this, but maybe I can reach a few others through this.

I'm getting a little tired of people complaining about champions by just listing their strengths. Did anyone ever stop to think: What if.... they have weaknesses too? Let's take Karthus for example. Let's show how OP karthus is: -AOE Spammable Nuke that can Crit -Even more AOE damage that rewards him for suiciding -Has a built in Dorans Ring -Huge wall cuts magic resistance and big slow -GLOBAL 5 man magic damage nuke that can even proc ludens -Even after he dies he still does tons of damage in the teamfight and can kill you -Insane late game

OP right? Even no skill players win with him all the time yep.

Include weaknesses and you get a fun, balanced, original champion: -Very squishy early -Can just walk away after killing him -Easy to dodge Q's because of delay -Walk around wall -Kitable -Has awful AA's and animation -Bad early game -Stay out of E range -EASILY runs out of mana

Basically, please, for the love of god, STOP saying champions are op and have no counterplay and only list their strengths as evidence. If they didn't have those strengths they wouldn't be a champion. Imagine if Vayne's tumble were removed, she would cease to be the fast, tumbling tank shredder of an ADC that can dominate late game. What if Rammus didn't have his Q? His whole identidy revolves around him going fast, and without the fast, there is no Rammus.

Thank you for your time. ~Wookie

Weakness don't necessarily mean counterplay, or that someone isn't/can't be overpowered.

To be fair, those weaknesses need to MATTER. For instance, Riven has some of the worst health regen in the game... but her first item is almost ALWAYS a vamp scepter... Likewise a champ who is impossible to kill as a skillshot-based ranged mage but who dies instantly to an all-n bursty assassin isn't a good champ. That's awful design, weaknesses or no.

Well, building items to cover champion weaknesses isn't exactly a bad idea. That's part of the game.

Yes, but you're not seeing what I'm saying. Building to cover your weak spots is great. But it's usually a trade off. If I'm brand and I build a more tanky build, I lose damage. Riven's first item solves one of her only weaknesses AND is a powerful item for her in the damage department too. There is almost NEVER a reason to build anything else. That doesn't make it a weakness of her kit, it makes it "meh, you'll have awful sustain until your first item is finished". Not everyone can build away their flaws. Immobile champs can't buy dashes. Poor-scaling supports can't really buy burst. ADC's can't really buy much tankiness. I mean, they CAN, but then they're useless as hell to their team without damage.

You are not about to tell me Annie That bitch has counter play. You get blown up or you don't. Now i think Annie is a good champ to have in league cause begginers need something easy to learn the basics with but she has a super low skill cap which is do i have enough dammage to kill them, is my stun up, and am i close enough too them
