For those on PBE...how is Taliyah
Just curious on everyone's opinions of her. I"m patching PBE after not playing it in a while and curious to play her. What roles? Top? Jungle? Mid?

She' great, maybe even a bit too strong- not op just too strong- Her skills work together very nicely her biggest problems are her passive since it's useless outside of traveling because it deactivates out of combat and she has a high skill cap, so it'll take a couple of games to get the hang of her.
she can go anywhere really I'm not really sure why people say she has a difficult time surviving in the jungle, every time I've played her jungle she's done well and haven't had trouble surviving.
Her passive is meant to be a roaming spell and broken land is for kiting, I find she is a kiting hyper mage so her power is shifted towards the late game and is less bursty and less about kill squishies and more about kiting and killing tanks.
she is very confusing ATM, her kit is very decent, but she is in an identity crisis, her kit screams jungler, but she can just barely survive.... Her abilities are AMAZING together, but apart they are very lack luster. Her power comes too much from her E W, and it kinda stinks. HER Q is AMAZING, but the point where it makes worked ground and FUCKS YOU, the worked ground q shoots 1 rock instead of 5 and is complete garbage. Her passive is nice but has no lane presence, her ult is AMAZING for cutting people off. And her leveling is so odd... her q is the lowest CD and up until now spammy skills are maxed first, and the w e shares the same CD per points, so in theory you would think max Q then on off w e, but no... max e is apparently the better option...
how would you say she would be Top lane? or she too squishy for that? I really want to play her but I absolutely hate mid lane...I could bring her jungle but with the new jungle changes I"m super worried about invades especially if clears are dangerously low
She works well top, just build her like any other ap top laner
the tanky ap items
The thing is.... she is classified as a Mage/Support, but that shouldn't throw red flags, I feel top his her more successful role too, SHE SUCKS ASS against anyone with mobility, IE ANY ASSASSINS. So mid i don't think is smart.
Possibly if you are super good with her, I mean insanely good, but her power comes online in the late game when she has the damage and lowered cooldowns to kite tanks and bruisers to kill them. Most part she probably just get ran over by tanks and bruisers in the early game, but there has been utility mages that go top like Lissandra, Karma, and Lulu.
What about her kit screams jungler? Because I really don't see it at all
her passive is best in jungle, more mobility, she is SAID to be a mid laner, but the walls in mid are too far and few between.... and her ult screams I gank and we kill. Aoe spells and junglers go hand in hand, multi hit, and kiting, which her we and q do.
You are aware that AoE was originally a mage thing, and that mages roam to gank other lanes
Yea, but look at ap junglers. Diana, zac, sej, eve, malph, nautalis are a few examples of aoe junglers.
Don't underestimate the movespeed bonus and partial Q refund that comes along with Worked Ground.
Personally I think the timer before E detonates naturally could be a little bit shorter. There's not much stopping an enemy from simply walking over the entire thing to reach her if she misses W.
Oh goodness no, the MS in worked ground is AMAZING!!! and that's why i feel that her passive is kinda bad in lane... her worked Q is more useful and does similar things..
The worked q is still meh, look up pants are dragon/ redmercy/pawnce. Pants in particular hates how worked ground q just is flat out a hinderince most of the time. And jungling her it just makes you ahve to play a specific way to just do damage.
I am thinking Worked Ground can be lowered in radius and that would help her out, but pretty sure Riot wanted her to be someone that was always in motion while keeping her as an immobile high damage utility mage. The other thing she needs is half-cooldown if only one rock gets thrown cause of Worked Ground
Ryze and Azir are still going to be the best mid laners
She's a midlaner primarily, but you can pull off any of those roles. She's deceptively complex imo, relatively easy to pick up but has a ton of depth and will be difficult to master.
Personally I think she's a ton of fun and I'm enamored by the strategic potential of her kit; she'll probably be among my favorite champions. I don't think she'll be incredibly popular, though, since she's a control mage, not an assassin or ADC. There wasn't that usual rush into PBE for a new champion, where it takes a ton of time to load into PBE and you can't play customs unless you have a few other human players.
Mid and Support - She is fun to play, I say she is very hard to master and even learn for that matter, mastery is a lot harder though, I do like that she is a normalized champion for once without some stupid gimmick.
Feels great. The Q is satisfying and lets her function very well as a mage, her E is hard to use but can be extremely rewarding, and the W gives her a very flexible source of utility that synergizes with the rest of her kit. She is definitely primarily a midlaner. However, if you feel like you can play safe against ganks and can use your Q zones to set up escapes properly, then she can be played top. This does limit her roaming potential with her ult, so be sure to have a plan for how you want to make use of the ult in the early game if you want to play her top. She won't be a very good jungler.
There are a few bits of mechanical jankiness that should be ironed out (like how the passive falls off so quickly with even a small step away from a wall), but those aren't major complaints, and her balance state appears to be generally fine. Maybe a bit too strong or too weak, but nothing egregious or unfixable.
