dunno why, dunno when, I know how, but karthus is now insanely strong. with akali and fizz being banned constantly, I have yet to find a problem. even sorakas don't matter anymore since you end up dealing more damage then her global heal and if you just play a little less greedy when there's a soraka on the other team you end up becoming the most helpful player for getting your teammates fed while still maintaining the godlike status karthus is known for I would highly recommend picking karthus back up if you haven't already, hes going places, good places

Immobile mages, in general, are seeing some power surge with the new jungle. Ganks are happening later, less frequently, and often with less health on the jungler (again, in general). So, immobile mages have some more breathing room in lane.

Fiddlesticks dose just fine and he is an assassin and Shaco as well.

Your just mad that you can snow ball into a insta-win any more and you have to have team work to win games not just an op assassin that snowballed.

Soraka's ult indisputably outheals Karthus' ult unless she's building a very tiny amount of AP (or no AP). As far as I'm concerned though, Soraka without AP is trash, so~

Karthus' ultimate is cool, but it's definitely NOT where most of his damage comes from.

I read the opening post as somewhat of a comparison of their ultimates (was I wrong?). If other abilities are involved, I think I can confidently say that most people can outdamage Soraka's ult alone.

granted i play riven into him so i usually go 5-0 in lane since he has no mobility and piss poor damage early on

Now that WW's been seriously nerfed HECK YEAH mages like karthus are getting stronger! Granted, this could also be somewhat interesting considering the other mid laners and such (Katarina, Fizz, Zed, Syndra, etc) considering the new jungle is going to be more taxing on YOUR jungle, so it'll be more of a battle of the mid lane, and less of a battle of which jungler can gank first.

don't know why? The Tear RoA combo has be severely buffed. Combined that with the new and improved Death cap, and Void staff. His total AP from the Tear RoA build is much higher than it use to be.

And this is his Late game build too. the AP Item changes turned him into a major AP late game carry.

Also consider the one unique thing about Karthus. His ult allows him to AFK Gank. So he can help out his allies across the map, while being able to hyperfarm in lane and scale for the late game.
