Finally came back to League.

Spent some time off league because i was pretty sad that the support role has been reduced to Mages and Death CC fanatics. And when i came back?..... nothing has changed.

Still see Sona's Rushing Full AP. Zyra is considered a support, Karma dominating the mid lane with the utility of a support but Power of a Mage.

Can we go back to when things werent so DMG dominated?

Right now i decided to go with the flow and pick a mage bot..... we rofflestomped their bot lane. They had absolutely no chance of fighting us....

Until their jungler who was feeding off of our jungler came and easily instakilled us both. The junglers are what decide each game and it makes me wonder "Why not just play defensive all game and cater to what our jungler needs in order to not go 0-4 in the first 7 min"

Anyway the main thought is.... This game just isnt fun or appealing anymore. I know that alot of people enjoy the game because they like to play whats Fotm and have no problem with it, and thats ok! But something just feels lackluster.

For instance, Lets look at Rakan and compare him to any other support... Rakan is the most Utility based support there is, his damage is puny and i am thankful Riot made a Decent support who isnt all about damage. however his Utility compared to DMG dealing supports is poop. His shield is the size of a Tic Tac, and his heal BEIING A SKILLSHOT does little to nothing. what gives?

Sorry if this post is unorganized, i have Rushing thoughts at the moment.

Damage is awesome because it means people need to play the game and are rewarded for doing so. It also makes the game faster, this is awesome.

Other supports are still godlike because through their utility they open up damage. They can also still do their job perfectly fine and are just as passive as they have always been.

Whoa what? I dont see many full ap supports. I still run Utility Tank Sona for bot lane and wreck.

It was shield meta literally like, 1 or 2 patches ago.

And that's assuming it's not still a shield meta.

Lulu, janna, karma, soraka, are all good supports. I see them more than anything else. Haven't seen Annie support in a very long time. Zyra and lux are still pretty rare bot. Sona is good right now especially at low elo, but she does damage AND heals and shields.

Lol Rakans ap scaling on his shields are hilarious. I built full ap and 1/3 of my hp (with 2 ap health items) was a shield. My dash shield was another 6-700 shield (twice). His heal is like 500. He and bard are a pretty rare find for me though. ^ Just to be clear on that, his ratios for his shields and heals are probably some of the highest in the game, but don't build him full ap like me.

changes to the support items that are coming mixed with the revamped reward quests on gold income items will likely see some of the more tankier supports getting back into the meta again
