Kassadin doesn't make sense to me

I've tried so much to be good with kassadin, but he just seems so weak. However, I've run into some crazy strong kasadins in solo q. How do you play as this purple asshole

You need to work on CSing well. Every champion does poorly when they're underfed.

Q poke isn't going to kill anyone, a lot of damage comes from combing all his spells to make his huge burst.

One thing to consider is how much damage his ult does from just stacking. Get 3-4 stacks and you'll blow up an adc (no mr) with a full rotation

It's important to make sure you have enough mana to pull this off. In some ways it feels awkward because of his full combo. He seems more spell slinger than most Assassins.

For building him, I would recommend starting with a Rod of Ages, and follow that with an Athene's Unholy grail. His ult does scale with Mana from RoA, and the combination of the two items means that his ult should be available when you need it. Then follow up with your core damage items like Rabadon's and void staff.

Just keep in mind that Kassadin is still a hyper carry. So stay safe, and play for the late game.

play safe till 6. then kill the mage mid. then roam bot.

I have played some Kassadin games. His kit is fun, but he is not a hyper carry. He ends up playing like a bruiser/assassin in most games. Have to be smart bc a lot of the time you want to still engage even though you can 100 -> 0 all the time. Most build rod of ages first, but I like to make the most of his passive by getting a mr/ap item first like item 3001 or item 3174 .

get rod of ages first. then tear of goddess. then archangel staff. then whatever you want later. i can see a good use of lichbane on him too. rabadons obviously. sorcerer shoes obviously. the problem with him is that he dies very easily.i need to try a tanky kass build. never done it.
