I feel like Aurelion Sol's passive could've been better if he was Ao Shin (read before downvoting)

So, Aurelion Sol is confined to constantly keeping his enemy within his stars range in order to deal damage. That is a fun and new mechanic, but the stars spin kind of slow wich makes it hard to deal consistant damage to a mobile enemy.

Now what does that have to do with Ao Shin you say? Well imagine if Aurelion was themed around storms and wind. His passive could've looked like that:

Ao Shin is surrounded by a flow of wind that deals x damage per second to enemies who stand in the circle, scaling with AP.

This would make his damage more consistant, but should be toned down because the actual stars damage per second would be too much. And all of his spells would still fit with different visual effects!

Passive: wind circle

Q: Thunder cloud

W: wider wind circle

E: well he flies...

R: huge wind burst in a direction

Or maybe just change his passive to a flow of starfire around him?

What I don't understand is why people are so hung up on Ao Shin. A champion, that simply had a name leaked at one point a long time ago, has so many people zealous over him. Aurelion Sol faces backlash simply because he has the wrong name. Ao shin would not have matched current Sol's kit. The Q being a thunder cloud doesn't fit with the starsurge that it is now. Currently, Sol harbors and grows a star as he carries it with him. A storm doesn't seem it would be quite the same.

Also, notice how I call him Sol. All champions with larger names or multiple parts get abbreviated. Cait, Kog, Cho, Malph, Shyv, Blitz, etc.

What we have now is either Aurelion or Sol. Both work, although I assume most say Aurelion. Now take Ao Shin. What would his abbreviation be? Ao? No. It would be Shin. So people would be calling him Shin. Who else do we call Shin, though? If you pronounce it correctly, Xin Zhao is who we call "Shin".

Overall, we have plenty of wind champions. Janna, Yasuo, and even Riven a bit.

We have almost no cosmos champions. The only one we really have is Bard, and he is more about bending time and space, unlike Aurelion Sol who is about manipulating the stars. Aurelion Sol was just a better idea than Ao Shin.

He is a galactic star dragon... how exactly are orbiting stars not thematic?

Also constant AOE zone around him... lmao good counterplay

I feel Aurelion is in a pretty good place, his damage output is great at that, the stars aren't all that hard to hit constantly either, just a bit of micromanagement.

AurelionSol I beg to differ, AO SHIN isn't a star dragon.... now is he?......targonians.....

or that would make his passive extremely problem...no champion should have a CONSTANT AOE attack around them...that's just dumb and extremely strong...he's be permabanned in games for sure.
