A pristine preaseason with Riot
Truth be told, I think this update and preseason is one of the best things Riot has done.
Everybody says the past was better but I actually feel there's less to worry about now. Team synergy works. Everything is more or less average. It's fast-paced, action packed, exciting, and almost realistic in a way with how intense and chaotic fights are. They're short, how fights realistically are. They're filled with cool animations, little outplays, and insane planning.
People say ADCs and assassins are really broken but I don't really see this in preseason in a game where only two people have leads. For example, a Zed may have a lead and a Varus as well. Zed can end the game early or destroy Varus with his lead. Varus can try to force to a late mid-game to end.
Power spikes are really dope to witness and much more of a game changing feature. Playing as Vayne and going with my secret Guinsoos build first item is hilariously thrilling to watch in ranked. We're all experimenting and things are fun.
Though, snowballs are really annoying still - they're rightful.
If I could give my take before being downvoted into oblivion, I think players in general want to experience the most interaction. Botlane in general gets this and I see why most of my friends are becoming support mains. Many hate ADCs due to their squishiness and them being the most difficult role in the game. Yet, they gain the most interaction due to their potential and amount of objectives in their vicinity. It doesn't seem ADCs are the most influential as I see Udyrs, Veigars, and Teemos carrying games by split pushing or helping other lanes as bot farms. I think botlane gets this unique interaction people envy.
See, this preseason made me realize this is probably one of the best things in League: Runes Reforged. The new system is fast and does not seem as much of a grind. It takes some getting used to.
I've also gotten to see that, as an ADC main and top/fill secondary, botlane's interaction is what makes people envious of the role. Botlane is not as powerful, but it gets a lot of help. A LOT OF HELP.
I nickname it Fiesta de Bot Lane simply due to the amount of teleports, ganks, and roams you can see in botlane but other lanes do not get as much attention simply due to the amount of potential these actions can do. Putting behind 40% of the team, securing a drake, getting a tower, letting out a Rift herald to get an inhibitor, decreasing a vast majority of the enemy's damage, decreasing enemy's front-line, shields, or healing, access to their jungle camps for farm and vision control, team-wide gold, increasing your damage output with a minimum 300 gold benefit or high chance of securing an objective, and decreasing the enemy's vision control.
I've grown to realize that ADCs don't necessarily snowball. Their teams just help botlane so much that they do. Most people don't know how to utilize their team like this, but this interaction is always unique and fun in every game. Thus, it may seem botlane is the most influential role but it's actually just the role with the greatest interaction.
