Incredibly Unfair matches, please help

Longer post, prepare yourselves. Big rant/ vent thread needed here, this is absolutely ridiculous.

So, I played League very heavily from S2 to end of S3, continuing a little bit on and off to mid season 5, where I kinda got frustrated with the meta, and switched to HoTS (shocking, I know, pls dont judge). Anywho, I placed low silver way back in the day when I first started. I was in college, picked up the game with some friends who were mid plat, high gold rank, and they taught me well. I started climbing to almost Gold, eventually picking up and mastering the old Fiora (considered one of the worst champs at the time) and sky rocketed to mid Gold by dominating top lane with a joke champ (yes, I got reported constantly for just picking Fiora). I learned how impactful a positive attitude is and how essential staying hopeful and joyful makes you not only a better player, but makes games more fun, win or lose. I eventually joined a rank team through my friend, who was in high diamond. The team was ranked mid diamond, I played ADC and occasionally mid. We ran into many pro players, including Snoopeh, Phreak, and Saintvicious. I stopped playing solo Q ranked after crawling to mid platinum, and used my friends alternate account that was low diamond to play on the ranked team, and held my own (even carried some games) in diamond ranked teams.

So, after quitting league, and moving on to HoTS, I became a rank 2 player in HoTS, started a new job and didnt have time to play much video games at all. I just placed rank 2 plat, one game away from diamond now, and should easily get diamond in HOTS. So, after almost 2 years of not playing league, I decided to try it out again, played with a buddy, got back in the rythym of it and did my placements. I dunno what happened, but my rank must of decayed or my mmr, because I was being placed in bronze and silver games. I ended up going 6-4, extremely frustrated because of losing a couple games to AFK's, even winning a game because of an enemy AFK (ruins the game both ways for me, win or lose) and now im placed in.....MID SILVER???????

Ok, ok, whatever, I understand the decay, I will just climb out, I have done it before, it will give me more time to learn all the new changes and what not. Ok, first game, and we have 2 afks because our mid lane picked an AD, and they wanted him to go AP. Whatever, positive attitude, shit happens, move on. Next game, I land 6 hooks in a row on blitz, and we completely anihilate the team. Easy game, easy life, lets keep climbing. Next game, mid laner DC's, we lose. Next game, top laner upset at their champion being banned, afks in game. Next game, one death in mid lane and 2 people start raging like nuts, we lose. Next game, 17 deaths in 9 minutes between top and jungle (this was absurd). Both blame me (the support) for not roaming at 4 minutes into the game, and then not wanting to rotate into a 9-0 elise. Keep positive, we can do this. Next game, 0-5 mid laner. Next game, we completely stomp and win in 17 minutes.

So....lets reflect. I am not having fun. Every game is either a one way massive stompfest, or it is full of AFK and pointless raging. This is completely disheartening for me. I was really looking forward to some good competative league, I had friends telling me everything about it, saying that the game has gotten better. I just can't play one more game, I am way too scared about what it will hold, I am only getting frustrated wether we win or lose because of AFK and how imbalanced the games are. I am completely demotivated to try and climb out of mid silver to where I think i should be (at least low plat).

The shittiest part of all this is, there is NOTHING that can be done. I don't have enough the time (working two jobs right now) or the patience to get through this, but I really really want to just enjoy a nice competative game of high ranked league again. I don't want to start a new account, because I have over 600$ worth of skins/champions on my account. I am at a loss. Best of luck summoners, I wish you the best, you can find me in the Nexus.
