@Riot: Regarding Leaverbuster and the "requirement" to always assume the worst of us

Unless I'm horribly mistaken, it's my impression that Leaverbuster and Riot's policy is to always assume the worst of us when it comes to leavers, afkers, etc. They must ALWAYS assume that we are trying to pull some shenanigans on the system to avoid a penalty. They must NEVER think that perhaps that leave was the result of one's ISP being a douche, or perhaps one's computer having a BSOD.

Riot's policy? "Sorry, if we reduce LP losses due to 4v5's, EVERYONE will exploit that 100% of the time."

My opinion on that? Shouldn't you be better able to detect exploiters?

give people an incentive to leave and there will be more exploits than we can imagine cuz people are smart when it comes to the wrong things

it has nothing to do with assuming the worst about you. It has everything to do with the fact that your absence reduced the quality of the experience of your teammates and potentially opponents.

It doesn't matter if it was your fault or not. The system and Riot don't care if it was your ISP, your power, or their own server. You get leaver bustered because your inability to connect affected the game for others.

I was connecting to a game when Riot's servers not only crashed, but the crashed caused file corruption to those clients that were in the process of connecting. I, and several hundred other users, had to reinstall league and we all got Leaverbusted for not connecting to the game. I didn't complain about it. that's how the system works.

So you get Leaverbustered for when RIOT drops the ball too?

Wow.

yep. Although, Lyte has stated that LB now has ways to detect and use a little more lenience when dealing with ISP drops.
