His secondary is a mage, so he needs some kind of damage to lane with.

His kit certainly work with itself, I don't see a lack of cohesion anywhere. The biggest complaint you could give him is that going support isn't optimal for him

I think his kit has more cohesion than some other kits right now.

That being said, if they did change his kit, he NEEDS to keep Q and W. Those are absolutely unique to him.
