UPVOTE FOR VEIGAR BUFFS
(Let's stop down-voting this before you even read it)
I have to say, Veigar can be considered the WEAKEST champion in the game right now.
Let's take a look at his W, Dark Matter, and E, Event Horizon. It can easily be stated that in order to land your Dark Matter, you should have caught somebody in your Event Horizon, which is difficult to land. Placing your Event Horizon in a way that catches your opponent is difficult enough, but how are you rewarded for doing so? Truth is, you're really not. A Rank 1 Event Horizon stuns your opponent for 1.5 seconds, which is quite minimal. Then, your Dark Matter takes 1.2 seconds to land. This means you only have 0.3 SECONDS to react. That's complete BULL. Not only is it INSANELY hard to lane your Dark Matter, enemies can easily negate being punished as they should without having to do anything.
Did you just successfully stun a Zed and use your Q-W-R-Ignite combo? Haha, that's too bad. He gets a shield that negates about 200 magic damage before even reaching Level 11 without having to press A SINGLE BUTTON. So he gets rewarded for getting caught, (???? why the fuck is this) and kills you before you get any of your spells back while you can't do anything because there's no AD counters until you have enough gold for Zhonya's which requires some skill to use properly. Even with Zhonya's, there's still not going to be anything you can do because their low cooldowns are back-up right after you use Zhonya's to finish you! Oh wait I forgot to tell you, you most likely have a %1 chance to land your Event Horizon against AD casters because of their mobility. Awesome! (This applies to a LOT of mages)
Anyways, back onto my main objective; Veigar (because he's weaker than any other mage)
Some of you are going to tell me, "Hey if you think his Event Horizon doesn't give you enough time to land your W, why don't you level that up so you get more time.
BUT- Having to ALWAYS level up a STATUS EFFECT before an integral ability is like telling a Zilean to max his E, a Viktor to max his W, a Garen to Max his W, or an Ashe to max her E (You don't want to max E on Ashe...).
COMPARING WITH OTHER MAGES-
Annie has an instant flash AOE high damage combo with much higher damage, much less skill , much lower cooldowns, with a body-guard bear that lasts for 40 seconds that blocks a lot of skillshots and does sustained damage to all entities, with a much scarier, with a much easier to follow-up combo, natural tankiness, natural tankiness, and FREE farm due to reset.
What do Veigar and other mages have compared to her.
"Ehh, other mages just have the AoE damage and some non-damaging CC with safer range that she has but nothing else." "Oh, and Veigar has a short-lasting zoning tool that can be blinked out of, blocked because of casting time, and it's hard to cast successfully, it's not that 'follow-up-able.'"
Nice. Veigar's totally viable, isn't he.
Side Note, many of the things I wrote about Veigar can be applied to many other mages. We'll see if these problems can be fixed during the mage update, but I doubt they'll be equally viable as AD casters are now.
