I actually like 6.9
I don't get why so many people think 6.9 is a horrible update... Patch 6.9 is the best thing to happen to League. Mages can have full CDR... and best of all bringing back objectives. Good job Riot!

I just like 6.9 because... well uhh.. Nothing you're prob not old enough and i don't want to break your fragile minds ;)
Riot enjoys throwing around the buzz words of "counter-play", "hidden power" and "ball of stats" to name a few, with the idea that these are ideas that negatively impact game play. Patch 6.9 seems to contain all of these.
Counter-play:
HIDDEN POWER:
So why bother warding the enemy jungle when I get timers shown to me for free letting me know that 60 seconds from now, the enemy blue/red buff is available? Seems like we're dumbing down the jungle quite a bit here while giving more experienced junglers, with high mobility or counter-jungling abilities even more power. Bad decision.
Elemental dragons offering substantial boosts in damage, true damage and movement speed. It's hidden power in the sense that a team behind jumps ahead quickly by merely taking an objective, while the team already ahead seems to get just a bunch of free stats. One objective leading to faster snowballing, something that League already has in spades.
Veigar simply gaining ability power (infinitely) by landing easy to hit 'skill shots' against enemy champions while laning. Infinite scaling is always a hidden power that is inherently unhealthy anyway, so enhancing it/making it easier to attain those free stats seems counter-productive to me.
BALL OF STATS:
It feels like the game has more complexity for the sake of complexity in some regard, but it's needless to do so when the previous seasons (outside of season 5) were mostly just fine as is. It feels to me as though many of the balance changes, mage updates, jungle changes and whatnot are simply a classic case of 'change for the sake of change'. Ironically, many of these changes that are intended to better balance the game simply make it less so and actually create a more unhealthy atmosphere.
Hey, we get it Riot, you want to keep the game fresh and fun. I'm all for it, but simply overhauling your game in the MIDDLE OF THE SEASON seems like a pretty drastic (and poor) decision on your part. Why not focus on updating badly outdated mechanics and champions BEFORE updating items and gameplay features that really didn't require it... like the jungle, dragon, Herald, for instance. Focus on the relics like Yorick (I know you say it's coming but have said that since 2012), Amumu, etc...
While you're at it, what ever happened to the Tribunal "coming back" - oh, thought we had forgotten about that. Everyone talks about Solo Queue returning being Riot's big lie, but don't forget, when the Tribunal originally went into 'recess' we were told it would be coming back... guess that was never the case since that was in 2014... now we have an automated system that is somewhat effective but doesn't address passive-aggressive behavior, intentional throws/feeding (unless extreme) and less obvious toxicity.
Oh well... you have billions of dollars, what's my feedback worth anyway, right?
But mages don't need full CDR... There is also the fact that some mages were gutted instead of reworked (looking at you Anivia, and Viktor)
I'm worried i wont get to play Vel'Koz anymore. I'm gonna spam him tonight so i can get my last games in before hes pick/ban for the next couple weeks.
I'm sort of hoping he's on the weak side and left like that. I just wantt o play my favorite champion without having be ridiculed for playing an OP champion.
