We hit a meta where Yasuo is relevant, so when he becomes popular the idiots that can't play against him start bitching
It's called a circle jerk. One person starts stroking himself with his own opinion and everyone else wants to join in on the action
It's because they aren't complaining about how yasuo is "Op", but how he's annoying af. And peope agree that he's unfun to play with and against. He's fun to play as.
It's because people are literally sick of facing him. His kit is pure cancer and no one likes playing against him.
35% playrate with a 52% winrate. Pure statistics alone says he's overpowered.
There's that, and then there is the fact that he's a toxic, broken champ.
These things happen from time to time I'm afraid. I've seen them for just about every champion in the game, including Urgot.

i for one have never had a problem from Yasuo and i am a Cassiopeia main. Just bait out his windwall and then punish him. As for the whirlwind, build boots early and DODGE LATERALLY. The hitbox for his q is actually narrow so dodge sideways instead of out running it. Keep your distance because close quarters he will crit you to death. Having some sort of cc helps when he is dashing. Speaking of dashing i thing the biggest mistake people do is clump around minions when farming because he can dash through you by targeting creeps, which brings us back to keeping our distance. And also throw a healthy aa at him once a while to keep that pesky shield down! :D
