10000x more minion block / pathing issues lately?
??? like in the past month n a half

I had this ridiculous moment yesterday where I commanded my champ to move forward, he made his way through a minion wave and got stuck between two minions so badly that ihe just danced from one to another finding no way out.
Remember 90s RTS games like WC2? Riot's pathfinding KI is somewhere on the same level.
that happend exacly to me WHILE I WAS DODGEIN A SKILL SHOT
agreed. but nothing they'll fix or change. It's just now part of the game. mainly because i believe it's beyond them technologically/programming wise to fix it. Especially with bugs lately of I forget but "thing will no longer take into account dead champions." It was minion pathing and Guardian i'm decently sure..
Bullshit. They can eliminate unit collision altogether and give champions and items that have that ability built in a compensation buff. They choose not to because they'd rather have players work around creep block themselves to get anything done.

But then you could just stand on your dying minion to deny the last hit. With enough tank and sustain, you could literally play League like DoTA.

Then they could make champions have half resistances within minions. Denying gold to the enemy in that fashion would open yourself to a loss of lane pressure if punished properly.

But that hurts you even if you’re not denying, is very counter-intuitive, and leads to a mini-game of don’t-stand-on-your-minion. We shouldn’t have mechanics like that.
lmao imagine having to path around minions to keep adequate resistances. that’d put a huge amount of pressure on the game and players as a mechanic and to me is an insufficient response to a rare problem.
Easy fix, Make an attack command for minions and one for champions. I.e Red cursor when you press A and Blue cursor for when you press c.

I don’t think that makes it better. Then you’d have a separate, built-in command to counter a cheese strategy enabled by a counter-intuitive mechanic. Again, the comparison to DoTA arises.
and what's wrong with that? I don't remember DoTA having this solution to the problem

Because it’s easier to occasionally deal with minion block than to have to press a separate key to last-hit every minion just to make sure that you don’t mis-click.
Not really. The minion blocks have stopped me from punishing an over extended and retreating from time to time and it's annoying usually resulting in my death or lost opportunity to get free damage off or maybe even a kill. Rather learn a new machanic then deal with the minion block that could cost me my lane.

Thats where youre wrong friend They will fix it Eventually Most likely in 5-6 motnhs Typical?
It's been aweful for years though.
I feel like something changed in pathing a month or two back, but no-one I play with seems to have noticed so I figured I was just bad at videogames.
they did this to nerf pantheon
Nah.
I have to admit that the minion block has been awful lately. I had to burn my flash in a game just yesterday because my champion walked into her own minions to continue a fight and then was just stuck turning in a circle uselessly while getting AA'd and murdered. I dont feel your own minions should be body blocking you and if they're dead set on keeping it in as a "mechanic" then it needs serious improvement. They could start by just making the little bastards less fat.
I had a game once as Rakan where after I ulted I got stuck in 4 minions and I couldn't move I just kept spinning around and around. Oh and the Lucian that saw that took full advantage and quickly autoed me and there was nothing I could do.
I noticed the same thing. I had recent game(about 5 days ago I think) where on the blue side I was in them midlane and wanted to roam top lane and it couldn't decided if going through blue side of jungle to river or going straight in the middle to river was the faster path for some reason and I got stuck in back forth walk cycle. another one is where I auto path back to second tower because the enemy team was bring 4 mid and no team mate is in sight to defend it fast enough and some reason auto corrected for a split second to walk to the middle of the lane then make u-turn to start walking back toward the second tower... I'm not even sure how the auto pathing program thought that was the optimal path lol.
let us push minions aside at reduced speed, and let the pathfinding algorithm handle the rest.
