Don't forget that she gets a movement speed buff on the same ability that gives her an atk speed buff + invisibility & that the same ability is reduced by .5 sec every time she autos.

Riot has made a habit of creating overloaded champions lately. Everyone needs insane damage, mobility, survivability, and flashyness nowadays. I miss when someone like Anivia got released, unique kit with very obvious counterplay and weaknesses while still being unique and viable.

Someone thougth: "Hey, let's make an ADC with the sustained damage of an ADC, but also the mobility and burst damage of an asassin. There isn't any champion with that design in the game".
A surprise for you, "genius": Nobody did that champion design because is broken as balls and a toxic kit since the beginning, therefore nobody with a little idea of game balance would design such a thing. But you have to make Kai'sa just to check it, I guess.

Kaisa arguably has the same assassination potential as Quinn late game but also serves as a tank buster.
Also Kaisa can abuse the most broken AD, AP, AND on-hit items. She can build Merc scim, Zhonyas, Banshees, stormrazor, and rageblade in one game - being PERFECTLY viable build.

That first game between SUP and GRX was a smash when SUP had Kai'sa, but it game two, as soon as GRX got Kai'sa, they started smashing team fights.... This dynamic is even less interesting than the ardent meta imo XD

I can't win a trade against the champ, all she has to do is use her Q and E and we lose any trade, no matter the champ matchup. I love duoing with her, and I guess that's why she's allowed, because playing with her as your ADC or if you play as her, easily winning against the enemy is fun. However, I don't think that's fair, she needs to be hard nerfed, Riot is showing blatant favoritism as always and in this meta, all it takes is the right picks to win a game.

Pairing her with Alistar is really killer, because he gives her some free passive stacks when he does his thing, and she gets to proc her passive easily after that, or ult in if she wants. The passive stacks is probably what needs to be looked at most, perhaps a straight nerf of numbers or a reduction of how many stacks her W puts on targets.
EDIT: I don't think people realize, OP title says "why is Kai'Sa allowed to be so busted?" I think she's STRONG and could use some nerfs. I don't think she's BUSTED and I don't think any Champion deserves to be dumpstered with excessive nerfs. I'd rather see a slower approach. Thanks for the discussion.

kai'sa's kit is just disgusting. The power budget in her kit stops with her passive. If her passive was changed into something utility or "useless" damage wise, she wouldn't be too bad.

Avicou2 votesHer kit is overloaded, for sure. The reason I think they let it stay that way is that she's extremely positioning reliant, because unless she's got her ult shield she could get locked down and killed before her damage output ramps up too high.
I think her ult shield needs to be taken away, or severely gutted, and her passive damage needs to be scaled down. The rest of her kit is pretty okay, there's no fundamental design on her QWE that makes them busted, like Akali's true-invisibility.
