Garen

Does way too much for what he is suppose to do. His movement speed is clearly too high, and his burst on his ult makes no sense. I don't see why a champion is punished for getting a kill. I think his ult should constantly change instead of being stationary on one target. If his target is say janna in bot lane then he really loses langing pressure he could have top, but if say the enemy top layer has it for any amount of minutes he is just ultimately pressured out of lane by his potential ult. Honestly reduce his spin, and his passive and I would be fine with the ult and silence but everything he has so far makes him extremely oppressive to melee champs that don't have the extra range he does. When the tank out damages the sustained carry there is clearly a issue.

Just my two cents, could be wrong, he may be perfectly fine. What do you guys think nerf garen or keep him as is? summoner 14

His job is to deal damage... Why does he do too much damage when that's part of his job description?

I mean really, he is supposed to destroy squishies if he doesn't get kited.

He is not just destroying squishes as well, he is destroying sustained champs like adcs, he can slice through the tree called maokai, he is able to out dual and class melee fighters. And trust me I am fine with these garen reworks, its just they need to tone down his mobility on his spin, and the damage on his ult. For a champion that gains a free silence, and now extra range on autos(especially on the new itemization) he does too much that I think was intended.

Well, Garen is supposed to destroy ADCs. That's kind of the entire purpose behind the villain mechanic, to single out and destroy one enemy champion. The rework is giving him the role of anti-carry.

Fighters he should also be able to duel with. Garen is a fighter after all. People keep mistaking him as a tank, but he is a fighter primary tank secondary champion, also known as a bruiser.

As for how Garen handles tanks, perhaps an argument can be made there. As an anti-carry he is supposed to handle carry champions, which are not typically tanks. Tanks can carry of course, so again an argument will have to be made to support that.

They are making his ult no longer mark you as the villain if you kill Garen. This comes out in the next patch.

No, what I want to see is it constantly changing, so say your team (villains) have 4 kills on 4 different people 1 on the mid, 1 on the jungler, one on the adc, and one on you. I would much rather be in favor of his cult changing constantly instead of sticking with one person until another kill is made, right now he currently out pressures all fighters and tanks in lanes and in team fights because of his ult.

Hold on,

When the tank out damages the sustained carry there is clearly a issue.

He's a melee, he gets on the carry he better blow them to smithereens, because he doesn't have much else but damage on his kit

Except for the ult that does over 1k true damage, a spin that does well over 300-400 damage since it stacks with his move speed, and a base silence that if you itemize correctly for can do up to 400 damage. Garen for what he was intended to do when first made is now doing it, but he is doing it far too well and is now outclassing melees and tanks altogether.

The only problem is the villain dmg.All he had to do is just Q+E (2-3 ticks) and then just ulti for over 1.3k ture dmg.And dont say kite him.All those new items+swiftness boots+His Q speed boost he has like over 500+ speed and dont forget slow remove on his Q.
