Remember when URF was actually fun? Or when ARURF was actually random, rather than "selection of Riot's favourite, most unfun champions"?
Isnt this supposed to be fun? So why do you take away more than half the champions in the game? Where's Taric? Alistar? Azir? Where are all the ACTUALLY FUN URF champions?

Old URF was pretty much the worst and best addition to League, because it brought forth something everyone wanted and yet, it was the most unfun mode. Everyone just picking the strong picks and forcing others to play the URF meta or lose.

I played three URF matches when it first appeared. The first two were fun, in the third game two people in my team flamed me for picking Ziggs.
Never again will I play URF: it's a mode for toxic people and ratkids that want to feel they are actually Challenger.

Every URF after that was just people spamming the broken champions so they can win against the people who wanted to have fun, and always turned into a mirror mode. URF had to become random because of the people who play fun game modes to win.
But then Riot made ARURF "random" and weighted it toward the popular champions, which meant more broken URF champions than before. Now it's an even smaller subset of champions, many of which are the same broken tier ones from normal URF. The odds of facing an Ezreal and Leblanc and Kassadin are stupid now, and if you get someone like Olaf, Zillean, or Nunu you get kited/juked to death all game and your telegraphed abilities end up doing very little.
Fun is a two way street, and while it's easy to let one side have fun at the expense of the other that is not the type of play environment we should be aiming for. Fun game modes should be fun for everyone, regardless of who is winning or losing. I'll admit I'm fine with holiday themed URF games, even if the current one is the least fun version of URF I've played yet, just because holiday events can be nice, but when we get back to regular ARURF games I hope they bring back true randomness.

True, however i honestly miss the days of losing on champs i liked, because i felt like it was something i could somewhat sway.
I dont know how the fuck to play Bard. I don't know how to play Anivia. I know how to play Vi, Xayah, Yas (barely, i stopped playing him like a couple months ago), and some mid mages.
If they got nerfed to be "fair" in urf, i'd still play them. Even if they were kinda shit, i'd do it because i'd lose having fun

It certainly wasn't the first AURF, when which ever team got more of the above was basically guaranteed to steam-roll the game.
URF is novel. It stopped being fun a long time ago.

It makes no sense to me that Riot pulled fun champions like Azir, Alistar and Sona while keeping champions like Veigar, Brand and Jax. These champions are all equally oppressive - so why did some deserve to be kept more than others?
Riot pulled ALL my favourite champions from the gamemode. I was also excited to see how never champions like Kayn would fare in it. Now we will never know.

besides, my response was specifically targeted towards someone pointing out how unhappy people are with it. But they always have been. First it was because hec, sona,raka,and all them were op. Then it was because they didnt do a good enough job balancing the second time around. Then it was cause it was all random. then it was because they didnt disable the OP champions because when they got randomed to the enemy team it felt bad. Now its because its only part of the champion base. Next time it will be some other shit. Who knows what. No matter what riot does there will be bitching. Its basically murphys law at this point.

After this URF was soley about dealing with the most broken Champs this mode created. Anything that instalost to them was unplayable and the only "fun" was to crush the people who spammed those.
The mindset of the players ruined this mode and all RIot is trying now is bringing tis mode back in some variants people can have fun in. And for me it works. I always played with the "mhhh... what could also be funny here... AH.. let's pick XYZ"-Attitude every game so AR is not really different from what I'm used to. =P

People ban and picked the same 20 champions, and if you want to pick some champ you like, chances are the "same 20 champions" will probably do better, making gameplay unfun.

Well, a ban system would be cool as well as ruling some champs just unplayable. But I guess I can only share my opinion.

The 10 ban system could fix most of the problems these "I don't wanna face this list every game cryers", and if not make it 20. Riot has so much cash they just bought their own e--sports park and you're telling me they can't pay a couple coders to make this happen? Of course they could they just won't because they don't give fat fuck about their community.
