Why are "energized attack" being turned into a unique passive?

Stormrazor has been reworked into an item that AMPLIFIES all energized effects. So why are all energized attacks being turned into un-stackeable effects? What's the point of ever buying stormrazor if you essentially waste nearly 1000 gold by buying statikk shiv or rapid fire cannon afterwards? Is it's ONLY purpose to enhance fleet footwork?

Theyre not named so they stack with each ither fine. Its to prevent item 3095 item 3095 item 3094 builds. Unless im wrong somewhere.

Basically, Razor buffs OTHER energized effects but NOT its own. Buying 2 razors might have meant the proc amplified the others', on top of having the aspd + AD from both of them

I see. No, you are correct. After looking at the wall of text in the reworked items i realized they took the unique effects of each energized item and separated them from the "energized" effect, turning them into new unique passives.

Pretty sure there is no actual gameplay change, just a tooltip adjustment. After all, the item 3057 passive is unique, yet if you have both item 3025 and item 3078, it applies the slow field, 200% Base AD damage to the primary target, and 100% Base AD damage to anyone in the slow field.

plus, the little kierchis shard icon that has the built-up stack numbers, there is only one now that denotes the readiness of all energized effects. im not sure but i think there was a separate icon/energy tracker for every energized effect you had. but now they all build up and activate at once.

There’s always been only one item 2015 icon to show the state of your energized attack, ever since item 3094 was released.

I’m not so sure about the item 3057 icon, but I’m pretty sure it’s the same.

It should be the same for the sheen effect because they both have the same effect and icon (the one that shows that the sheen effect will proc on your next auto).

the passives on the energized items are already unique passives, however they are also named passives. Are you sure that having "firecannon", "shiv lighting", and "storm" will only mean getting one of these passives effects or will you still get the additional range, damage to up to 5 targets, and have these enhanced by storm?

i dont think energized passives are unique cause they stack and work with each other. having both Shiv and RFC the Shiv lightning will hit towers. adding SR on top of that then the lightning will hit towers, deal extra damage, and slow targets nearby.

Statikk Shiv will still shock multiple targets, and RPF will still increase your auto range, even if bought together. The unique passive that’s getting reclassified is the bonus magic damage. This will prevent the bonus magic dmg from stacking, but will keep the effects of the individual items.
