No reason she should be able to build 
etc. and still be able to kill effectively. I think a base damage nerf will do the trick somewhere (with a slight AP ratio buff to even it out and only hit her "no AP" builds).

Akali is SO HOT4 votesHer E has 130 base damage at rank 5 and it's a small AoE that drains a ton of her energy. Tank Akali gets her power from sticking to her target and getting assists off of her E and Sunfire hitting all of the enemy team. Unless you somehow feed her to hell she's not going to be doing very much damage.

mogonk3 votesTank Akali doesn't actually do much damage man. Sure, she can spam E, but she goes out of energy pretty quick doing that. And her base damages just aren't that great at all. Tank Akali doesn't work because her base damage is so high, it works because her kit lets her stick to targets well.
Is it OP? Well, the tank Akali build is the main build in Korea, where Akali has about a 50% winrate at any division. So it's hard to claim that it's too strong.
